The counselling for Nursing at AIIMS Delhi is conducted online. After the declaration of the exam results, you have to go through the registration, filling and choice locking process. On the basis of the choices the shortlisting is done. The counselling is done on the basis of the combined merit list. From August 19 to 25, 2023, the seat acceptance process was conducted. The AIIMS Nursing counselling form had to be obtained online on the official website.

Instructions pertaining to Reservation of Seats, Fees, general eligibility criteria and Exam pattern for PhD Entrance Test – 2023

Submission of application for PhD Programme will be online only. The candidate can only apply for one Programme as the Entrance Test shall be conducted for all the Programmes on the same day.
Application Fee for submission of online application is Rs 1000.
Application fee is non-refundable.
The number of seats to be advertised in different categories (GEN/OBC/SC/ST/EWS) is as per the Reservation Policy for Research Degree Programmes and DOPT,Govt of India .norms amended from time to time. Appendix II of the Information Brochure may be referred in this regard.
No request for change in reservation category, shall be entertained once the application has been successfully submitted.
Five percent (5%) seats shall be reserved for Persons with Disabilities (with not less than 40% disability). However such candidates shall be adjusted against the appropriate category (Gen/SC/ST/OBC/EWS) to which they belong (Ref.Annexure II of Information Brochure 2023).
Candidates awarded with fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/UGC- CSIR NET/GATE/CEED and similar National level tests, as per the validity specified by the regulatory bodies, shall be exempted from Entrance Test and their selection will be based on interview. These candidates shall be considered as Category- A. Such candidates have to upload their valid fellowship award letter from the concerned implementing / awarding agency.
For Category A Candidates , interview shall carry 100% weightage. All eligible candidates from Category A will be called for the interview.
For Category B Candidates , the Entrance Test shall carry a weightage of 70% and 30% weightage shall be given to the interview. Those who secure at least 50% marks in the Entrance Test (45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy layers) / Differently abled persons and EWS) will be shortlisted for the interview in order of merit subject to the maximum limit of five times of the available seats.

Stage II: Interview:

Eligible candidates from Category A & Category B shall be called for interview before the Discipline Specific Admission committee. Information in this regard shall be uploaded on the University website. The respective disciplines/ schools will communicate regarding the requirement for the interview.
The interview shall have three components comprising Research Methodology (40%) Subject domain (40%) and Communication Skills (20%).
Admission to the Ph.D Degree Programmes is strictly on merit, based on the performance in the Entrance Test and Interview taken together.
A candidate will be eligible for admission and registration for the PhD programme, on the fulfillment of the following conditions :
Candidates who have completed:
A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision as per the decision of the UGC from time to time. Provided that a candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

In case, a candidate does not meet these minimum eligibility criteria and appears in the written examination, it is at the candidate’s own risk and cost, and if at any stage, it is found that the minimum eligibility requirements are not fulfilled, the admission, if granted, shall be cancelled ipso facto.

Syllabus and Question paper

a) The syllabus of the Entrance Test is as per the ‘University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree) Regulations, 2022 comprising 50% on Research methodology and 50% on specific subject. The syllabus for each discipline is annexed at Appendix III of information brochure.
b) The question paper shall have questions consisting of 50% on research methodology and 50% on specific subject .

IGNOU Ph.D. Entrance Exam 2024

IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2024 will be conducted on 07 January 2024 by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The test will be conducted in various centers across the country. Anyone intending to be admitted to the IGNOU Ph.D. program under any specialization is required to take the test. The minimum eligibility criteria to take the test is that the candidates must have a PG or MPhil degree from a UGC-recognized institution.

IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam has 70% weightage in the selection process, and after qualifying for the test, candidates will be able to go in the Interview/ Viva round. The question paper contains 50% of questions from specified subjects and the rest 50% from research methodology. The exam duration is 3 Hours which has 100 questions of 4 marks each.

IGNOU PhD Admission Guidelines 2024

Students who completed 2 Years of Master's and 3 Years of bachelor's or 1-year master's and 4 years of bachelor's are eligible to apply.
Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their qualifying examinations.
A relaxation of 5% is available for candidates who fall under the SC/ST category.
Candidate must submit the application form before the deadline and a Hard copy will not be accepted.
Every student who wishes for IGNOU PhD Admission is required to take the entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency(NTA).
The final selection will be based on the merit list and will be completed after the personal interview/viva.
Use of any electronic device or mobile is not allowed on examination premises.

IGNOU PhD 2022 Instructions

Prior to entering the examination center:.

Arrive at the exam centre one hour before the time listed on your admission card.
Please have a full breakfast or a light lunch before departing for the location, depending on the programme. Drink lots of fluids, as dehydration can develop up throughout the heat, harming your exam performance.
Just before entering the centre, eat a cookie or a chocolate bar; this will avoid hypoglycemia and help you stay attentive longer, increasing your outcomes.
If it's a crowded shopping centre, don't put off the admission and security checks until the last minute.
You will not be permitted to enter after the time limit for closing the doors has passed.
The Admit Card is required for entry to the Exam Center; no applicants shall be admitted without it.
Normally, no luggage are permitted.
No food is permitted.
Mobile phones, pagers, wireless sets, scanners, cameras, or any other electronic or digital device are not permitted in the exam centre; bringing one will result in disqualification.

As soon as you enter the centre:

Candidates should find their allotted hall and seat once they arrive at the facility.
Before entering the centre, applicants will be hand frisked, photographed, and video graphed if specified.
After completing all of the requirements, applicants should proceed to the allocated venue and take a seat.
Rough work is to be done in the space given for this purpose on Objective Type question sheets. Under no circumstances is rough work permitted on the OMR Answer Sheet.
Only the answer sheet is to be used to answer questions.
Inside the Test Centre, copying, using dishonest techniques of any type, talking, asking questions of other candidates, and borrowing of material are all strictly forbidden.
The applicants must hand in their OMR answer sheets as well as the entire question paper to the Centre Superintendent. Tearing or removing the question paper is prohibited, and applicants who do so will be disqualified from the whole Entrance Test.
It is not permitted to smoke.
Any type of misbehaviour can result in the candidate's expulsion.
If you are caught copying or assisting in copying, your answer sheet will be cancelled, and your candidacy will be cancelled.
Any marking on the answer sheet or question paper will result in the test being cancelled.

Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fee

The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
The fee paid shall be refunded prior to confirmation of admission.
An amount equivalent to 15% of the programme fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs.2,000/-, will be deducted from the fee paid in case the request for cancellation is received after the confirmation of admission.
In case a student has opted for soft copy of the study material, the fee paid will be refunded after deducting the Registration fee only.
If a request for cancellation is received from a student who has availed fee exemption and has paid only the Registration fee and Development fee, only the Development fee will be refunded.
No Refund of fee will be admissible after 60 days of the closing date of the admissions.

How to Apply for IGNOU PhD Entrance Exam 2024?

Students can easily apply for Ph.D. Entrance Examination through online mode. Interested candidates have to click on the given application link and then click on the “Online Application Form” link for Ph.D. July 2023. After the click, you will go to the registration section where you have to click on New Registration to begin your registration procedure.
Candidates have to fill all sections including the Registration and Application Form without any spelling mistakes
Once you fill in the above details, it is mandatory to upload your recent passport-size scanned photograph and digital signature. A scanned photograph must be less than 200 KB in size and Signature must be less than 30 KB. After uploading, you have to re-verify your application with all the details that you provided to the university before submitting it. You can also get a print of your Application form before proceeding with payment.
After checking your application, candidates have to pay their application fee by online mode. After completion of payment, you will get a payment receipt so keep it safe with you for any future reference.
After successful payment, you will receive a notification or confirmation via SMS or through your registered email ID. If you didn’t get any confirmation then, please contact the IGNOU Ph.D. support team as fast as possible.
Candidates have to note down their Application Number to login into the Ph.D. entrance portal to download their Admit Card and Result in the future.

It is compulsory to register yourself to fill out your application form online. Once you have paid your fees for the entrance exam will not be refundable to the candidate in any circumstances. We can understand that many of the students are confused regarding the syllabus and structure of the Ph.D. Entrance Examination. IGNOU PhD means Doctor of Philosophy and is also called a Doctorate Degree. PhD is the highest level of academic degree which is awarded to students by the university at the time of IGNOU Convocation.

The eligibility for a PhD degree varies in each discipline. The candidate will be called a doctoral candidate or a PhD candidate during their studies and coursework. IGNOU PhD Exam Answer Key 2022: The last date to raise objection against the provisional answer keys of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) PhD entrance exam 2022 is Wednesday, March 9. Candidates can challenge the IGNOU PhD answer key 2022 through the official website- ignou.nta.ac.in till 9 pm today. To raise objections, a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per challenge has to be paid. NTA will verify the objections and release the final answer key later.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted IGNOU PhD entrance exam on February 24, 2022 in 30 cities across the country. The PhD exam was conducted offline in CBT mode.

“Candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Rs 200/- (Rs. Two Hundred only) per challenged answer as a nonrefundable fee. The Challenges made by the candidates, along with the documents uploaded to support, will be verified by a panel of subject expert(s). If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly,” an NTA statement said.

IGNOU Ph.D. Admission Process

How many subjects do we have to choose in BA for IGNOU?

A student should take no more than 96 credits in BA (applicable for every subject).

To obtain a major in any subject, a student must have a total of 48 credits in that subject, which equates to 6 papers of 8 credits taken over three years. (2 papers per year)

The remaining 48 credits are divided as follows:

In the first and second years, compulsory papers BSHF 101 and FST 01, each worth 8 credits.

Students in their second year are required to take one elective course in addition to the compulsory course and the subject in which they are majoring.

Applied Courses are for third-year students, and they can be taken for 8 or 16 credits.

Students may take any subject from Group 1 to Group A1 in addition to Group A1.

How long does the IGNOU take to send a mark sheet and certificate?

According to the Ordinance, Rules, and Regulations, results should be announced within 45 days of the examination date. The Grade Card can be downloaded from the IGNOU website for any purpose. If you require an original Grade Card for the semesters you have completed, you must contact the Registrar's Student Evaluation Division.
