• സൈബർ ഉപദ്രവം – ഓൺലൈൻ മാർഗങ്ങളിലൂടെ വ്യക്തിയെ പിന്തുടരുന്നതിനോ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നതിനോ കുറ്റവാളി വളരെ സജീവമാണ്. ക്ഷുദ്രവെയർ അയച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവർ സിസ്റ്റത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും കൃത്യമായ വിവരങ്ങൾ നേടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
• പോണോഗ്രാഫി – അശ്ലീല വെബ്സൈറ്റുകൾ വഴി ലൈംഗിക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങിയ വീഡിയോകൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പ്രവർത്തനം.
• വഞ്ചന – ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങളിൽ, ഒരു ആധികാരിക ഉറവിടത്തിൽ നിന്ന് അയച്ചതായി തോന്നുന്ന ഒരു ഇമെയിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ലഭിക്കും, പക്ഷേ അത് തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
• പൈറസി – രഹസ്യസ്വഭാവമുള്ള വിവരങ്ങൾ ആക്സസ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു അനധികൃത രീതിയാണിത്. പലപ്പോഴും സർക്കാർ വെബ്‌സൈറ്റുകൾ ഹാക്ക് ചെയ്യുകയും ഫയലുകളുടെ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഡാറ്റയുടെ പൈറേറ്റഡ് പകർപ്പുകൾ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു, ഇത് വളരെയധികം പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഡാറ്റ നശിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

ദേശീയ ക്രൈം ഇൻവെസ്റ്റിഗേഷനും ക്രൈം ഫോറൻസിക്‌സും സംബന്ധിച്ച ആദ്യ ദേശീയ സമ്മേളനം

• സൈബർ സംബന്ധമായ കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങൾ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള വിവിധ രീതികളും നടപടികളും ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി അന്വേഷണ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്കും ഫോറൻസിക് സംഘങ്ങൾക്കും മറ്റ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർക്കും ഒരു വേദി സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു സമ്മേളനത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം.

സൈബർ കുറ്റകൃത്യ ബോധവൽക്കരണം

• സൈബർ കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങളുടെ ഭീകരമായ പ്രവൃത്തികളിൽ നിന്ന് സുരക്ഷിതമായിരിക്കാൻ വിവിധ സുരക്ഷാ നടപടികൾ പാലിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
• ശക്തമായ പാസ്‌വേഡ് ഉപയോഗിക്കണം. പാസ്‌വേഡ് സങ്കീർണ്ണമായിരിക്കണം, അത് ഊഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല.
• സിസ്റ്റത്തെ മാൽവെയറിൽ നിന്ന് മുക്തമാക്കാൻ ആന്റിവൈറസ് പ്രോഗ്രാം(കൾ) ഉപയോഗിക്കണം.
• സിസ്റ്റം പതിവായി അപ്ഡേറ്റ് ചെയ്യുക.
• നിങ്ങളുടെ ഐഡന്റിറ്റിയും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട വിവരങ്ങളും മോഷ്ടിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തുകയും സ്വയം മിടുക്കനും സജീവവുമാക്കുക.
• നിങ്ങളുടെ കുട്ടികളെ ഇന്റർനെറ്റിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ബോധവാന്മാരാക്കുക, അതുവഴി അവർ അത്തരം ഒരു സാഹചര്യത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, ഏതെങ്കിലും ദുരുപയോഗം അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഉപദ്രവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അവർക്ക് ഉടനടി അറിയാനാകും.
• സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയിൽ സ്വകാര്യത ക്രമീകരണങ്ങൾ നിലനിർത്തുക.

ക്ഷുദ്ര സോഫ്‌റ്റ്‌വെയർ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സിസ്റ്റങ്ങളെയും നെറ്റ്‌വർക്കുകളും ഉപകരണങ്ങളും പ്രോഗ്രാമുകളും സൈബർ സുരക്ഷ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ കുറ്റവാളികൾ അനധികൃതമായി ഡാറ്റ ആക്സസ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് തടയാൻ കഴിയും.

• ക്ലൗഡ് സെക്യൂരിറ്റി – ക്ലൗഡ് ഉറവിടങ്ങൾ ഡാറ്റ പരിരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള മാർഗങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്നു.
• വിവര സുരക്ഷ – അനധികൃതമോ നിയമവിരുദ്ധമോ ആയ ആക്‌സസ്സിൽ നിന്ന് ഡാറ്റ പരിരക്ഷിക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.

സൈബർ കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങൾ അനുദിനം അതിന്റെ കാലുകൾ വിരിയുകയാണ്. അതിന്റെ ദൂഷ്യഫലങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷനേടാനുള്ള ഏറ്റവും നല്ല മാർഗം സുരക്ഷാ നടപടികൾ പാലിക്കുക എന്നതാണ്. നമ്മുടെ രഹസ്യ വിവരങ്ങൾ ചോരാതെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ നിരവധി മാർഗങ്ങളുണ്ട്. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, നമ്മൾ എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും അവബോധത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കണം, കാരണം ‘രോഗശമനത്തേക്കാൾ പ്രതിരോധമാണ് നല്ലത്’, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ചികിത്സ ലഭ്യമല്ലാത്തപ്പോൾ.

സൈബർ ലോകം (ചെറുകഥ)

ഡോക്ടർ  പ്രസാദ് മുറിയിലേക്ക് കയറി വന്നപ്പോൾ കറങ്ങി കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സീലിംഗ് ഫാനിൽ കണ്ണും നട്ട് കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു നീന.

എന്താടോ ഇത്ര വലിയ ആലോചന???

പെട്ടെന്ന്  ഒന്നു ഞെട്ടിയെങ്കിലും പതിഞ്ഞ ശബ്ദത്തിൽ നീന പറഞ്ഞു.

വെറുതെ ഓരോന്ന് ആലോചിച്ചു പോയതാ ഡോക്ടറേ...

വീണ്ടും കുരിക്കിടാൻ വല്ല പ്ലാനുമുണ്ടോ??

ഡോക്ടർ  ചിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ചോദിച്ചു.

ഏയ് ഇല്ല....

ഇനി ഒരിക്കലും അങ്ങനെയൊരു അവിവേകത്തിന് മുതിരില്ല .

ഡോക്ടറുടെ കൗൺസിലിംഗ് എൻ്റെ മനസ്സിനെ ഒത്തിരി പാകപ്പെടുത്തി.

ജീവിതം എന്താണെന്നും, വിഷമങ്ങളെ തരണം ചെയ്ത് ഏതൊരവസ്ഥയേയും എങ്ങനെയാണ് ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ  മറികടക്കേണ്ടതെന്നും എനിക്കിപ്പോൾ  നന്നായി മനസ്സിലായി.

ചെറിയ കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ പോലും സന്തോഷം കണ്ടെത്തി ഓരോ ദിവസത്തേയും മനോഹരമായി അണിയിച്ചൊരുക്കണമെന്നുള്ള ഡോക്ടറുടെ വാക്കുകൾ ഞാനെന്റെ ഡയറിയിൽ എഴുതി വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഡോക്ടർ, നീനയെ നോക്കി ഒന്നിരുത്തി മൂളി കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു.

ഇന്നും രണ്ടു ആത്മഹത്യ കേസുകളുണ്ട്.

തന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നെ നിരാശ കൊണ്ട് ഫാനിൽ കെട്ടി തൂങ്ങിമരിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച രണ്ടു വീട്ടമ്മമാർ.

അതിലൊരാൾ രക്ഷപ്പെടുമെന്ന്  തോന്നുന്നില്ല.!!!

മനപൂർവ്വമല്ല ഡോക്ടറേ....

ആരും തുണയില്ലയെന്ന് തോന്നുമ്പോൾ , ഉള്ളിൽ കിടന്നു തിളച്ചുമറിയുന്ന സങ്കടങ്ങളെ ഇറക്കിവെയ്ക്കാൻ ഒരിടം ഇല്ലാതെ വരുമ്പോൾ ചെയ്തു പോകുന്നതാണ്.

ഇന്നത്തെ സമൂഹവും മനുഷ്യരും അങ്ങനെ ആയിപ്പോയി നീനാ...

ആർഭാടങ്ങളുടെ ഭ്രമങ്ങളിലകപ്പെട്ട്  ശിഥിലങ്ങളായികൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കുടുംബബന്ധങ്ങൾ.

ഇന്ന് ആർക്കും ആരേയും വേണ്ട. 

മറ്റൊരാളെ കേൾക്കാനോ, മനസ്സിലാക്കാനോ ഇന്നാരും സമയം കണ്ടെത്താറുമില്ല.

എല്ലാപേരും തിരക്കഭിനയിക്കുകയല്ലേ ???

അതേ ഡോക്ടർ...

എന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലും അത് തന്നെയാണ് സംഭവിച്ചത്.

കിട്ടിയ ജോലി പോലും വേണ്ടെന്നുവെച്ചാണ് കുട്ടികൾക്കും, ഭർത്താവിനും വേണ്ടി ജീവിച്ചത്.

മക്കൾ വലുതായപ്പോൾ അവർക്ക് അമ്മയെ വേണ്ടാതായി...

ഒന്നുമറിയാത്ത പഴഞ്ചൻ ചിന്താഗതിക്കാരിയാണു പോലും ഞാൻ!!!!

വൈകുന്നേരം ഓഫീസിൽ നിന്നും വീട്ടിലെത്തുന്ന  ഭർത്താവ്   ഫോൺ വിളിയും, ചാറ്റുമായി  മറ്റൊരു ലോകത്തിൽ.

ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ പോലും കണ്ണ് മൊബൈലിലാണ്. ചോദിച്ചാൽ പറയും നിനക്കും കുട്ടികൾക്കും  സുഖിക്കാനാണ്  ഞാൻ ഈ  കഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നതെന്ന്!!!!

ഭർത്താവും മക്കളും  സൈബർ ലോകത്തിൽ അവരുടെ കൂട്ടുകാരുമായി ആഹ്ളാദത്തിലേർപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ വീട് വൃത്തിയാക്കിയും അടുക്കളപ്പണി ചെയ്തും ,

ബാക്കിയുള്ള  സമയം സീരിയലുകളായ സീരിയലുകളൊക്കെകണ്ട് കരഞ്ഞും, മൂക്ക്ചീറ്റിയും ഞാനെന്റെ ദിവസങ്ങൾ തള്ളിവിട്ടു.

സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിൽ അപരിചിതയായി കഴിയേണ്ടി വരുന്ന അവസ്ഥ വേദാനാജനകമാണ് !!!!

അതൊന്നും ആർക്കും പറഞ്ഞാൽ മനസ്സിലാകില്ല ഡോക്ടർ.

പല വീടുകളിലും  ഇതൊക്കെ തന്നെയാണ് നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്  നീനാ..

ആഹാരം വിളമ്പി വെച്ചിട്ട്  മക്കൾക്ക് വാട്സ് ആപ്പിൽ മെസ്സേജ് അയക്കുന്ന അമ്മമാരെ എനിക്ക് അറിയാം.

വാതിലിൽ മുട്ടി വിളിച്ചാൽ അവർക്ക് ദേഷ്യം വരും പോലും.

ഒരിക്കലും പരസ്പരം കാണാത്തവരോടല്ലേ ഇന്ന് എല്ലാപേർക്കും ചങ്ങാത്തം..

ശരിയാണ്!!!!!

എൻ്റെ വീട്ടിലെ അവസ്ഥയും  ഇതു തന്നെയാണ്.

ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെന്ന നിലയിൽ  ഭർത്താവോ, കുട്ടികളോ എന്നെ ഒരു കാര്യത്തിലും ഒരിക്കലും അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല!!!

എന്തിനും ഏതിനും കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തലുകളും, ആക്ഷേപങ്ങളും!!!

വീട്ടിലിരുന്ന് പൊണ്ണത്തടിച്ചിയായ എന്നെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾക്ക് മുന്നിൽ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്താൻ പോലും അദ്ദേഹം മടിച്ചു.

ഈ കാലയളവിൽ  അപമാനങ്ങളുടെ കുന്നുകൾ കയറിയും, ഇറങ്ങിയും ഞാൻ എന്നെത്തന്നെ മടുത്തു തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

ഇനിയുള്ള ജീവിതം എങ്ങനെ ജീവിച്ചു തീർക്കും എന്ന ചോദ്യത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ പകച്ചു നിന്നപ്പോഴാണ് പച്ച  വെളിച്ചവുമായി മഹേന്ദ്രൻ എന്ന  പഴയ കൂട്ടുകാരൻ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നു വന്നത്.

ആദ്യമൊന്ന് മടിച്ചെങ്കിലും പിന്നെ ഓർത്തു...

എനിക്കും സന്തോഷിക്കാനും, സ്നേഹിക്കാനും, വിശേഷങ്ങൾ പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാനും ഒരാൾ വേണമെന്ന് .

ആരോടൊക്കെയോ  വാശിത്തീർക്കും പോലെ ഞാൻ അയാളിലേക്ക് കൂടുതൽ, കൂടുതൽ അടുക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

അസംതൃപ്തമായ ദാമ്പത്യ ജീവിതത്തിനിടയിൽ താളം തെറ്റിയ എനിക്ക് ഒരാശ്വാസമായിരുന്നു അയാൾ.

മഹേന്ദ്രനോട് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിനോട് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ തോന്നി.

എൻ്റെ വീട് ചിരിക്കുന്നതായും, കണ്ണാടിക്കൂട്ടിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങൾ ആഹ്ളാദച്ചിറക്കുകൾ തുന്നി കീഴ്മേൽ മറിയുന്നതായും ,

ജനലരുകിൽ ഇണപ്രാവുകൾ കുറുകുന്നതായും തോന്നി.

വാക്കുകൾ കൊണ്ട് വിസ്മയം തീർക്കുന്ന അയാളുമായുള്ള  പ്രേമബന്ധം വിശുദ്ധവും, പരിപാവനവുമാണെന്ന് കരുതി.

എന്നേയും സ്നേഹിക്കാൻ ഒരാളുണ്ടെന്ന അഹങ്കാരത്തിലകപ്പെട്ടു പോയ ദിവസങ്ങൾ.

ആ സന്തോഷം അധികനാൾ നീണ്ടുനിന്നില്ല.

ഇത്തിരി സ്നേഹത്തിന് വേണ്ടി അയാളുടെ ഇഷ്ടങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാം കൂട്ടുനിന്നെങ്കിലും ദിവസങ്ങൾ കഴിയുന്തോറും മഹേന്ദ്രന് ഞാനൊരു ശല്ല്യമായി മാറിത്തുടങ്ങി.

മനപ്പൂർവം എന്നിൽ നിന്നും അകലാൻ അയാൾ  ഓരോരോ  കാരണങ്ങൾ  കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചുക്കൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു.

ഫോൺ വിളികൾ കുറഞ്ഞു...

അങ്ങോട്ട് വിളിച്ചാൽ ലൈൻ ബിസി ആണെന്ന് പറയും....

തിരിച്ചു വിളിക്കാൻ പോലും അയാൾ തയ്യാറായില്ല.

പിന്നീടാണ് എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലായത് ഞാൻ പറ്റിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന്!!!!

അയാളുടെ ചൂണ്ടയിലകപ്പെട്ട ഇരകളിലൊരാൾ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു  ഞാൻ.

ആശ്വാസമായി കണ്ടിരുന്ന അയാളും ജീവിതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പടിയിറങ്ങിപോയപ്പോൾ ഒന്നു പൊട്ടിക്കരയാൻ പോലുമാകാതെ സംഘർഷഭരിതമായ  മനസ്സുമായി  വീട്ടിന്റെ ഒരു കോണിൽ ഒതുങ്ങിക്കൂടി .

ഭർത്താവും, കുട്ടികളും എനിക്ക്  ഭ്രാന്താണെന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കളെ വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞ ദിവസമാണ് ഞാൻ ഫാനിൽ കെട്ടിത്തൂങ്ങി മരിക്കാൻ  ശ്രമിച്ചത്.

ഇളയമകനാണ് എന്നെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.

എല്ലാ സൗഭാഗ്യങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടും എന്തിന് നീയിതു ചെയ്തു എന്ന ഭർത്താവിന്റെ ചോദ്യത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമില്ലായിരുന്നു.

വിശപ്പറിയാത്തതിൻ്റെ കുഴപ്പമാണെന്നുള്ള ആക്ഷേപം വേറേയും.

അവിടേയും ഞാൻ  തോറ്റു പോയി ഡോക്ടർ.

നീന വിങ്ങലോടെ പറഞ്ഞു നിർത്തി.

ഡോക്ടർ പ്രസാദ് നീനയുടെ തോളിൽ തട്ടി ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞു 

മരണം ഒന്നിനും ഒരു പരിഹാരമല്ലെന്ന് മനസ്സിലായില്ലേ സ്വയം മരിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശം നമുക്കില്ല.

സങ്കടങ്ങളെ ഓർത്തിരുന്നാൽ ജീവിക്കാൻ മറന്നു പോകും.

ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ സ്നേഹം കൊതിക്കുന്ന അനാഥരായ കുട്ടികൾകളും, മക്കൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച പോയ  വയസ്സായ മാതാപിതാക്കളുമുണ്ട്.

അവരെ സ്നേഹിക്കൂ...

സ്വാർത്ഥത ഇല്ലാത്ത സ്നേഹം അവർ തിരിച്ചു തരുമെന്നതിൽ തർക്കമില്ല.

നീനയുടെ കണ്ണുകളിൽ പ്രതീക്ഷകളുടെ ഒരു തിരയിളക്കം ഡോക്ടർ  പ്രസാദ് കണ്ടു.

ഭർത്താവിൻ്റെയും, കാമുകൻ്റെയും സ്നേഹം മാത്രമല്ല  ഈ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളത്.

ഗുണപാഠകഥകളുടെ അക്ഷയഖനികള്‍ നമുക്കും അവകാശപ്പെടാവുന്നതാണ്. എ.ഡി അഞ്ചാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിനു മുമ്പ് ഇന്ത്യ ഭരിച്ചിരുന്ന അമരശക്തന്‍ എന്ന രാജാവ് തന്റെ ധൂര്‍ത്തന്‍മാരായ മക്കളെ നേരെയാക്കാന്‍ പണ്ഡിതനായ വിഷ്ണുശര്‍മയെ ചുമതലപ്പെടുത്തുകയും അദ്ദേഹം മക്കളെ നിരവധി കഥകളിലൂടെ രാജ്യതന്ത്രവും നീതിശാസ്ത്രവും സല്‍സ്വഭാവവുമൊക്കെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ രാജകുമാരന്‍മാര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ കര്‍ത്തവ്യബോധം മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയും മിടുക്കന്‍മാരാവുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതിനുവേണ്ടി രചിച്ച ആ കഥകളാണ് പിന്നീട് പഞ്ചതന്ത്രം കഥകളായി അറിയപ്പെട്ടത്.

മരിച്ചുപോയ തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞിനെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന ഒരമ്മയുടെ അപേക്ഷ പ്രകാരം, ആരും മരിക്കാത്തൊരു വീട്ടില്‍നിന്ന് ഒരല്‍പ്പം കടുകു കൊണ്ടുവന്നാല്‍ കുഞ്ഞിനെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കാമെന്നു ബുദ്ധന്‍ പറയുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയൊരു വീടു കണ്ടെത്താന്‍ ആ അമ്മയ്ക്കു കഴിയാതെപോകുന്നു. ഇതുപോലുള്ള ദാര്‍ശനിക കഥകള്‍ ജാതകകഥകളില്‍ കാണാം.

ഇതിഹാസങ്ങള്‍ എന്നു കേള്‍ക്കാത്തവര്‍ ഒരു രാജ്യത്തുമുണ്ടാവില്ല. ലോകസംസ്‌കാരങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം സുലഭമാണ് ഇതിഹാസങ്ങള്‍. സംഭവബഹുലമായ കഥയും അദ്ഭുത മനുഷ്യരും അമാനുഷരായ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും ഇവയില്‍ ധാരാളം കാണാം. ദൈവങ്ങളും മനുഷ്യരും മൃഗങ്ങളും പ്രാണികളും പക്ഷികളും പരസ്പരം സംസാരിക്കുകയും കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതും കാണാം. രാജാക്കന്മാര്‍, യുദ്ധങ്ങള്‍, ആത്മീയത, ഉപദേശങ്ങള്‍, തത്ത്വചിന്ത, ദര്‍ശനങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം ഇതിഹാസങ്ങളിലുണ്ടാകും.

അതിശയോക്തി സംഭവവിവരണങ്ങളും അമാനുഷര്‍ നശിക്കുന്നതും നിസ്സാരന്മാര്‍ വിജയിക്കുന്നതും ഇതിഹാസകഥകളുടെ പ്രത്യേകതയാണ്. ഇതിഹാസങ്ങളില്‍ ഏറെ പ്രസിദ്ധങ്ങളാണ് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മഹാഭാരതവും രാമായണവും. പാണ്ഡവരും കൗരവരും തമ്മിലുണ്ടായ യുദ്ധമാണ് മഹാഭാരതം പറയുന്നത്. വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ശ്രീരാമാവതാരകഥയാണ് രാമായണം പറയുന്നത്. ഭാഗവതം, പുരാണങ്ങള്‍, ഉപനിഷത്തുക്കള്‍ തുടങ്ങി ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഇതിഹാസങ്ങള്‍ വളരെ വിപുലമാണ്.

ഇതിഹാസങ്ങളുടെ കളിത്തൊട്ടിലെന്നാണ് ഗ്രീക്ക് സാഹിത്യത്തെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. മഹായുദ്ധങ്ങളുടെ കഥ പറയുന്ന ഹോമറുടെ ഇലിയഡും ഒഡീസിയും ഒഴിച്ചുനിര്‍ത്തി ഗ്രീക്ക് ഇതിഹാസചരിത്രം തന്നെയില്ല. ഗ്രീക്ക് രാജാക്കന്മാരും ട്രോയ് നഗരവും തമ്മില്‍ നടന്ന യുദ്ധത്തില്‍ ആരും ജയിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഭീമാകാരമായ ഒരു മരക്കുതിരയുടെ അകത്ത് ഒളിച്ചിരുന്ന് ഗ്രീക്കുകാര്‍ രാത്രിയില്‍ ട്രോയ് നഗരത്തെ ആക്രമിക്കുകയും തീവയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ട്രോയ് രാജകുമാരനായ പാരിസ് തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയിരുന്ന ഹെലനെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഇലിയഡിന്റെ കഥാസാരം.

ഒഡീസിയസ് എന്ന യോദ്ധാവിന്റെയും പടയാളികളുടെയും ഗ്രീസിലേക്കുള്ള മടക്കയാത്രയില്‍ അനേകം അമാനുഷിക ജീവികളെയും ഭീകരജന്തുക്കളെയും എതിര്‍ത്തു തോല്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു. മരിച്ചുവെന്നു കരുതിയ ഒഡീസിയസിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെയും രാജ്യത്തെയും റാണിയെയും തട്ടിയെടുക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവരെയും ഗ്രീക്ക് പടയാളികള്‍ എതിര്‍ത്തു തോല്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഒഡീസിയുടെ കഥ.

It can be further classified into 2 types. Cybercrime – against individuals, corporates, etc.and Cyberwarfare – against a state.

Cyber Crime

Use of cyberspace, i.e. computer, internet, cellphone, other technical devices, etc., to commit a crime by an individual or organized group is called cyber-crime. Cyber attackers use numerous software and codes in cyberspace to commit cybercrime. They exploit the weaknesses in the software and hardware design through the use of malware. Hacking is a common way of piercing the defenses of protected computer systems and interfering with their functioning. Identity theft is also common.

Cybercrimes may occur directly i.e,  targeting the computers directly by spreading computer viruses. Other forms include DoS attack. It is an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. It suspends services of a host connected to the internet which may be temporary or permanent.

Malware is a software used to disrupt computer operation, gather sensitive information, or gain access to private computer systems. It usually appears in the form of code, scripts, active content, and other software. ‘Malware’ refers to a variety of forms of hostile or intrusive software, for example, Trojan Horses, rootkits, worms, adware, etc.

Another way of committing cybercrime is independent of the Computer Network or Device. It includes Economic frauds. It is done to destabilize the economy of a country, attack on banking security and transaction system, extract money through fraud, acquisition of credit/debit card data, financial theft, etc.

Hinder the operations of a website or service through data alteration, data destruction. Others include using obscene content to humiliate girls and harm their reputation, Spreading pornography, threatening e-mail, assuming a fake identity, virtual impersonation. Nowadays misuse of social media in creating intolerance, instigating communal violence and inciting riots is happening a lot.

Snowden revelations have shown that Cyberspace could become the theatre of warfare in the 21st century. Future wars will not be like traditional wars which are fought on land, water or air. when any state initiates the use of internet-based invisible force as an instrument of state policy to fight against another nation, it is called cyberwar’.

It includes hacking of vital information, important webpages, strategic controls, and intelligence. In December 2014 the cyberattack a six-month-long cyberattack on the German parliament for which the Sofacy Group is suspected. Another example 2008 cyberattack on US Military computers. • An easy way for an attacker to gain access to your network is to use old credentials that have fallen by the wayside. Hence delete unused accounts.
• Enabling two-factor authentication to add some extra security to your logins. An extra layer of security that makes it harder for an attacker to get into your accounts.
• Keep your Softwares up to date.
