- Submit an assignment in Canvas

1. In your course navigation click Assignments.
2. Click on the assignment you want to submit.
3. Click Start Assignment or Submit Assignment in the top right corner.
4. Read the instructions given by your instructor. For a file upload assignment, click Choose File.
5. Choose the attachment from you browser that you would like to upload and click Open.
6. Once your file appears, click Submit Assignment.
7. You will receive confirmation of you submission in the top right corner.

- How do I submit an assignment using Google Docs?
1. In Course Navigation, click the Assignments link.
2. Click the assignment title to open the assignment.
3. Click the Submit Assignment link to open the submission window.
4. To upload a Google Doc to your assignment, select the file you wish to upload by clicking on the title. Note : Before you can submit assignments from Google Docs, you need to authorize Canvas to access your Google Docs account .
5. Click the Submit Assignment button to submit your assignment.

Submit an assignment in Canvas. 1. In your course navigation click Assignments. 2. Click on the assignment you want to submit. 3. Click Start Assignment or Submit Assignment in the top right corner. 4. Read the instructions given by your instructor.
The first being by you going to the class that you wish to submit an assignment in, then on your left hand menu, select the assignments button, and select the assignment that you wish to submit to from the list.
To submit an assignment, click the Submit Assignment button to submit your work. Note: If you cannot see the Submit Assignment button, your instructor may not want you to submit your assignment online or the availability date has passed. View the description of the assignment for instructions, or contact your instructor for assistance.
For now, let's choose the Complete/Incomplete option, which will allow us to grade as a pass or fail assignment.. In the Submission Type dropdown, you can determine how students will submit the work. No Submission might be an option for in-class presentations, whereas Online would require student to post to Canvas.

Assignments can be found under Modules or Assignments, depending on how your instructor has set up your course. Is there a course role in Canvas that would allow people to post in discussions but not submit graded assignments? Out of the box, it doesn't seem like such a role exists. People are either Observers (which have view-only access to the course, and thus can't post in discussions) or Students (who can submit graded assignments).
@dlalonde_moric Not 100% sure if this is the issue or not but many schools block sharing outside the domain in the Google side (especially if you have under age 13 students using Google).This restriction does block the Canvas integration from working even though it is really still keeping it within your domain.
