500+ words essay on a picnic with family.
“A happy family is but an earlier heaven.” –George Bernard Shaw.
We, human beings are social animals. This means that we cannot live in isolation, instead, we need to live in groups for our survival. This group can be termed as a society, but the nucleus of the society is family. When some individuals’ who belong to a similar gene pool and share a certain common set of hormones , live together, they are termed as family. The benefits of living with the family are numerous, it provides us support, strength, happiness, courage, feeling of oneness. Let us go through a beautiful real-life experience of rejoicing picnic with the family.
Last summer our family went to a memorable picnic at a nearby water park. The day when we spoke for the first time about going to a picnic, the adrenaline rush has been started flowing within us. The flow of happiness amongst the family was at its peak while preparing for the picnic. Everybody was excited about this outdoor adventure. Finally, the day had arrived. We all left our home and soon were on our way to the picnic. The car was full of chatters. Every family member was so excited about the picnic with the family. All of us were in a totally different form.

Finally, we reached our destination. The moment we reached the ticket window, the kids in the family started jumping with excitement. While we were purchasing the tickets, the kids started getting restless to wait. Then we entered for our awaiting adventure for the picnic with the family. As soon as we entered, the beauty of the place welcomed us with a cool breeze on our faces.
We put on the costumes and entered the pool. The coldness of the water was soothing one. Each splash brought a smile on everyone’s face. Everybody went back to their childhood. The youngest one in the picnic with family was 3.5-year-old, who had entered the pool for the first time. He was the happiest amongst all. After spending a considerate amount of time playing with water, we had to struggle a lot to take kids out from the pool. What a memorable time it was during a picnic with the family.
Then we started heading towards the food zone. The fun in the pool has led to an empty stomach which was making a lot of funny noise. And the aroma of the delicious food which was coming from the food zone had aced our pace towards it.
The kids in the family started making a list of all the things that they wanted to eat. We ordered everyone’s favorite dish and sat waiting for the food to come. This waiting time was the most torturous one. And finally, our hot and tasty food came. We literally attacked it like the hungry animals. The next 30 minutes was complete silence. Everybody in the picnic with family was busy enjoying their own favorite delicacy. We finished eating and left for home.
Though the picnic with family was over, still it is alive in over memories. All the good time we spent together, a lot of beautiful pictures, will always be with us in our memories. We will soon plan our next picnic with family to rejoice our love, bonding, and happiness together.

1. A pleasant diversion. 2. Kinds of picnics; (a) family party; (b) a party of friends. 3. Stages (a) planning; (b) arrangements; (c) the picnic itself – our participation; (d) the return journey. 4. What makes a picnic so enjoyable. 5. Personal experience.
Picnics are a pleasant diversion. They break the monotony of life and add a touch of variety. They may be said to touch the prosaic life with the charm of poetry. Springs of joy well up, free from the burden of duties and responsibilities. Hence they are often a refreshing tonic.
Picnics are of various kinds. One may have a picnic with one’s family. This is an escape from the dreariness of domesticity. It is likely to be the pleasantest. As the relationship between parents and children and between siblings also often becomes formal and lifeless. An outing in the open air, away from the well-marked convenience that is so necessary to make existence smooth, is in the nature of a pleasant surprise. It lifts us out of our habitual routine; it brings out the very best in each of us. In Satyajit Roy’s ‘Sakha-Prosakha’ there is such a catchy family picnic scene.
Another kind of picnic is with friends. This is far more common with us. Students of schools and colleges as well as members of clubs and institutions often organize these outlines like picnics. It must be fun for a group of friends to go out together and enjoy some kind of novelty.
A picnic has four stages. The first stage is planning. The selection of the spot, of the party, and of the nature of the outing give ample scope for discussion and makes things lively. The joy of a picnic often lies in the discovery that something has been left behind, something has been mistaken and the plan was not fool-proof. But things are taken lightly, in a good-humored spirit.
Next, come preparations. One must arrange conveyances, collect utensils and eatables. Usually, there is a division of labor and responsibility. Some bring one thing other bring something else. It is a lesson in acquiring organizational skills. The leader has to see if everything is OK.
Then we have the picnic itself. Going around with mismanagement is not a picnic. If there is a mistake or a misadventure it has to be met with humor and laughter.
My experience of such a picnic is pleasantly memorable. There were ladies with us to supervise the cooking. But they stood aloof to enjoy the day, on the plea that the Dhenki (a wooden husking device) should not husk even when in heaven. So we merrily ate the underboiled rice and charred fries. We played cards, carom, and sang to our heart’s content, amidst punctuated gossip.
Finally, there is the return journey. Things have to be packed up carefully. FOn the way back there is a lot to talk about, a lot to think about and remember.
A picnic is not for those who want everything to be as tidy and orderly as home. People go on picnics for the new environment and adventure out of the monotony of daily life. So, only those who are able to easily adapt to the discomfort and minor errors really enjoy the picnic.

Introduction: I have had many picnics in my life. Almost all of them were very enjoyable. Among them, one is very favorite to me.
Preparations for the Picnic: The picnic took place when I was a student at the University of Chittagong. The classes of our third semester BBA course had just started. The teachers and students were feeling the need for rejuvenation. For achieving that goal, it was decided that there could be nothing better than a picnic party. Bandarban was selected as the place of the picnic. At first, a committee was formed with participation from students and teachers for collecting contributions and making all necessary arrangements for the picnic. The committee collected contributions from every one of the classes. Two big chair coaches were hired and other preparations were finished in time.
Description of the Picnic: On the appointed day we gathered at the university campus early in the morning. There was a festive environment. Everyone was in a jolly mood. All of us got on the chair coaches. All necessary goods and food items were also taken on the buses. We took with us rice, ghee, meat, fish, sauce, jam, fruits, spices, bread and other necessary things for cooking. There were also necessary pots, plates, kerosene stoves, spoons, and forks. As soon as all the students reached, we started our journey. It was about 8 AM. We had a microphone and loudspeaker with us. The members of our picnic party were made to perform one after another. Some recited poems, some sang songs, some cracked jokes, some played music, and some gave speeches. We had fifteen honorable teachers with us. They also participated in the performances. Every performance invoked much applause. Some of the performers received standing ovations. We had breakfast on the coaches at about 9 AM with bread, apple, banana, boiled egg, and tea. At about 11 in the morning, we reached Bandarban. We selected Meghla Tourist Spot as the place for our picnic. We all got down and arranged our materials for cooking. We had some expert cooks with us. They took the charge of cooking. The others helped them. Meghla was a very beautiful place. It had a beautiful lake, hills, and a hanging bridge. We were enjoying the natural beauties very much. We had a meal at about 2 PM. Then all of us set out to visit Bandarban city. We went to Shaila Propat, Balaghata Buddhist Temple, the king’s house, and other places of Bandarban. After the sunset, we started our return journey.
Conclusion: It was a very enjoyable event in my life. The memory of the picnic will remain ever fresh in my mind.

Make a schedule of the day and take steps to ensure its implementation. Manage the means of transport and cook before the scheduled time, make arrangements, eg. music, cultural competition, lottery. It was spring. I decided to have a picnic in the countryside with my friends. I felt that it would help us to forget the monotony of city life and refresh our minds. So, on a holiday we go out on a picnic.
As soon as we reach our destination village , we start walking on the green fields, meadows and river banks. We take deep breaths to fill our lungs with clean and fresh air .
The name of the village was Ratanpur. Nature surrounded by trees makes us happy. The green fields under the blue sky and the beautiful view of the calm river overwhelm us. The sun spreads its golden rays across the meadows and rivers. We enjoy the chirping of birds in the trees. Butterflies fly from one flower to another. We see these scenes and feel cheerful.
When we feel tired and hungry while walking, we rest under a big tree. We dig holes in the ground to make ovens and cook by burning dried stalks. Traveling and eating in a secluded place inside a forest gives us a different feeling. Occasional picnics are a great idea to get rid of the boredom of repetitive living.

A picnic is very enjoyable for all. It refers to go to a far place, eat some special food there, and enjoy a lot. There are many picnic spots in our country where people go for a picnic and enjoy themselves. In our textbook, we find that Laila and her father had a picnic in the hills. One morning Laila and her father started for her uncle’s house up in the hills. They packed their bag and took some food and drinking water with them. They crossed the river and walked up into the hills. There were many tall trees there. Every hour they stopped and drank some water. Then they stopped by a small river and ate their chicken biryani and cakes. It was a very enjoyable picnic for Laila. After the picnic, they took a rest and went to her uncle’s house. They were fascinated by the beauty of the hills and the river.

It was the first day in school after first term examination when school picnic for this year was announced in the class. Everyone has been excited since then. This year’s picnic was destined to be at Vananchal resort which is located in the forest of Jambughoda. Luckily for me and my group permission of our parents has never been a problem, so we were set to go since the day of announcement.
It was a cold winter morning, the school bus departed at sharp seven in the morning. Almost two hour long route to the resort felt like a matter of few minutes as we played fun games with fellow classmates. We reported to the resort at around 9, we were all provided welcome drinks. Then we left for nature walk where we saw varied types of trees and birds. After the nature walk it was time for the most exciting part of the picnic.
Yes! It was pool time which unfortunately couldn’t last whole day. That’s the thing about pool, no matter how long you get to be in it, it’s never enough. Then we had lunch, followed by some fun activities such as rappelling and zip-line which too was fun. The time passed so soon that we couldn’t even realize the day was over. This was indeed a day I’ll cherish for a long time.
“Picnic”, a day every student in the school is eagerly awaits the whole year. This year’s school picnic was to be held at Splash Water Park which was at three hour’s drive from our school. Everyone from my class was showing up for the picnic expect for one of my friend Kashyap who unfortunately was out of station on the day of picnic to attend some family function.
School Picnic to Water Park
On the day of the picnic unlike every other day we reported to the school earlier than our regular timings, due to excitement, obviously! Our class was divided into four groups of ten students each. Each group had one leader to watch upon the respective team members. I was the captain of our group.
We reached the destination at 10am and were given half an hour to collect our swim suits take a shower and get ready for the real fun. Water Park was full of amazing water rides namely Demon’s hole, lazy river, Amazonia, free fall, loop hole, etc. Demon’s hole and Amazonia were my favourite. Demon’s hole was a dark cylindrical water slide with utterly thrilling twists and turns and Amazonia was a super large water slide which took us through an artificially created jungle, which gave a feel of passing through the streams in Amazon rain forests.
In lunch, we were served lip-smacking Punjabi food with gulab jamuns in dessert. Then, there was a wave pool, besides which there was a beautiful artificial waterfall. We checked out from the park at 5pm in the evening and returned to our school at around eight.
I remember almost nothing from the return journey as we were all tired till the end of the day. Our legs were paining as they had exercised hard while climbing those steps for the slides, and thus out of exhaustion almost everyone was asleep in the bus while returning. It was a day well spent.
Amusement park have always been my favourite destination for a day out. To my delight this year’s school picnic was destined to Essel world. This picnic meant a lot as it was our tenth standard and maybe was the last year together in school. Next year I and my friends will be in different streams. We had every hope to make this one memorable so that we bid goodbye having loads of happy memories.
School Picnic to Amusement Park
Sleepless night has always been a pre-picnic symptom for me. I could never sleep until late at night before picnic out of thoughts of how amazing the following day would be. The way from school to the amusement park was quite a long one during which we played dumb charades and truth and dare to kill time.
We were dropped at a place via bus from which we had to check in a boat to further reach the amusement park. From the boat we could see a ride called Shot-N-Drop. We could hear the shouts of people enjoying the ride and could feel the thrill from the boat itself. It was our day today, maybe the last one with our people, and we had to make the most out of it. So, without even wasting a minute we rushed into the park to gain the most out of it.
Today, I don’t remember every ride we had been on, but I still remember the butterflies in my stomach when a ride named thunder swung us all from one side to the other, those moments of thrill and fear when Shot-N-Drop had us on free fall, those goose bumps when Top-Spin whirled us round, those stupid laughs when our dashing cars dashed into others, that joy of finally making out of Alibaba’s mirror maze and that tingling moment when Aqua-dive splash splashed upon us the droplets of cold water.
The happiness that we gained in the most simple things in life, bursting into laughter after playing pranks on our fellow classmates and that momentary anger of the one who had been pranked, those tired yet smiling faces at the end of the day and many more tingling moments are the memories to cherish forever.
Memories of this day will always hold a cosy corner in my and all our hearts. Somewhere I still wish if I could go back to this day again and feel that same thing with those same people all over again.

I was in standard 3 rd when my school had arranged a picnic to Kamla Nehru zoo situated besides Kankaria Lake, Ahmedabad. Being a kid, I was extremely excited for the picnic. A day before picnic I went to the nearby shop with my father to buy some snacks for the picnic. I bought a packet of chips, cookies, soya sticks and few packets of chewing gum.
My School Picnic to Zoo
This was probably the only day in the whole year when I would pack my things up the previous night, obviously because I didn’t want to get late on the picnic day. After making my things ready I made a conference call with my friends. We discussed about how excited we all were for our picnic. We fixed the time we were going to catch up the next day.
I was up before the alarm despite not being able to sleep until late at night. I got to school at around 7am in the morning, half an hour prior to the reporting time. We had to be in pair on this day, which was decided on the basis of roll numbers, luckily for me I partnered up with Manan whose number was right next to me. Singing, dancing, playing we travelled the road till the destination. We were served ice-cream as soon as we got there. We were all excited to step in the zoo.
First of all we had to enter the bird section where we saw a number of varied and beautiful birds. Toucan, a black and yellow coloured bird with a large beak, kingfisher a little bird with most vivid colours, Hornbill a beautiful bird with a horn like thing on its head and albatross a fine white and black coloured with aquatic habitat were some of the birds we saw. We also saw deer, hippopotamus, fox, wolf, alligator, crocodile, wild ass, yellow python snake, bear and many more. But our favourite ones were still left, where we had to visit after the lunch.
Finally, after the lunch it was the time for which we were all so excited about – to see the fastest animal cheetah, the national animal tiger and of course the king of the jungle, lion. We also saw jaguar and leopard. We were done with the zoo at around 3 in the afternoon, and we had time until 5 pm so the teachers decided to take us all to have a look around at Kankaria Lake. It was a beautiful place.
We sat on a mini toy train there which took us on a ride around the lake. After everyone completed the ride, it was almost 5 which was the time to leave for home. Teachers started counting the number of students, which brought them to the conclusion that one kid from our class has been missing. The teachers panicked however they were finally able to find Hussain, the lost one after 10 minutes of search operation.
Today, it might be a mere picnic to a zoo, but when I remember back I realized how these little things used to make me happy.

School trips are the most awaited ones. They not only give us a long break from our monotonous lives but also bring lots of memories. Last year, I went to Kidzania for the school trip and here are my experiences from that trip.
My School Picnic to Kidzania
Our day at Kidzania began at 9 in the morning. I was stunned looking at this wonderful place which was actually a city which we have all dreamt about. It was clean, had well organized buildings, well developed roads, factories, police station, grocery shops, trees and everything that is present in a well developed city. The day began with Kidzania theme song where all the staff members dance and welcome the kids and their parents.
Just as every country has its own currency; Kidzania also has its own currency named Kidzos. After entering every child is given a cheque of 50 Kidzos which he/ she can withdraw whenever needed to enjoy the activities in the Kidzania world.
There were different buildings build for different purposes. There were offices, factories and many other places where we can work and get salary in Kidzos. The kids are divided in different groups for different jobs as per their age. First of all, I and my friends went to the dentist and learnt some skills for removing the tooth having cavities. Not only this, we also did check up of other kids with different instruments. At the end of that, the head dentist made us understand about how crucial it is to do proper brushing. After that, we went to the bakery and made our very own delicious donuts.
We also did the wall painting on a very huge wall besides the road. Then, we got to know that there is a fashion show and we can walk on the ramp wearing those beautiful clothes. I and my friends couldn’t control our excitement and we immediately went for that. We walked through the ramp and it was an amazing experience. To our excitement, we saw an ice cream parlour next to that building. Going inside we realized that we can make our own ice cream, of whichever flavour we like. Similarly, there was a Kinder Joy factory where we made Kinder Joy and a Kellogs factory where we made Chocos.
Not just work, there were buildings in which there were classes to learn dance, play guitar, drums and flute, and also sing. So, we tried out almost everything we could. I learnt few notes on guitar and that was my first time on any musical instrument. After learning all this new stuff, we thought to try our hands on gadgets also. So, we went to the gadget store nearby where we were given information about the technology used in mobile phones and laptops. It was real fun.
To end our tour, there was a series of folk dances and music where all the kids had prepared something of their own for the entertainment of the audiences. I was also a part of a group with whom I performed Bhangra. This made us interact with other kids more and that is where I made my new friends who were basically from Amritsar, my birth place. All of the shows, including the singing event, helped us know how amazingly talented other kids were. After all of this there was a thank you speech by the staff members with whom we were also connected now.
All of this experience of being part of this amazing world was beyond words. It was the world where we not just used the amenities but also helped in creating them. The joy of making something on your own was just beyond words. Every kid should once visit Kidzania in their childhood and make long lasting memories there.

Picnics are not just about fun and frolic, they also foster a multitude of life skills. They provide a platform for team-building exercises, encouraging students to work together in a non-academic setting. Moreover, they stimulate a sense of independence as students are required to manage their belongings and food.
A school picnic is a perfect example of experiential learning. Visiting historical sites, nature parks, or science museums can provide hands-on learning experiences, enhancing students’ understanding of the world around them. These experiences can aid in the development of a holistic perspective, which is often not possible within the confines of a classroom.
The laughter, the games, and even the occasional mishaps, all contribute to a tapestry of memories that students carry with them long after graduation. These shared experiences form a common thread, strengthening bonds and fostering a sense of belonging.
In essence, school picnics are a vital part of the educational ecosystem, providing a well-rounded experience for students. Introduction
In order to escape from the hustle and bustle of the routine life, a retreat is a must. What can be more enjoyable than a picnic time with family with whom we do not get to spend enough time? A picnic not only freshens up the mind, but also helps us to explore new places and enjoy food with our family.
The Picnic – How It Was
We chose the community park of our locality that is situated right beside the limpid brook. The park had a children’s play area where the kids of our family played on slides, swings and other play equipments.
We carried our lunch to the park and decided to have it at the separate picnic area, which we had reserved for that day. After lunch, we sat near the brook, fed the ducks and squirrels and took a walk along the trail. The sunset seen above the brook during twilight was magical and we returned before it was dark.
It was a day well spent with all the members of the family and with this we had a great opportunity to breathe in the fresh air. Escaping the daily routine for a day and being in nature’s lap is definitely important in life.
In the strain of the work load and juggling between multiple chores, having a family picnic was like an alienated topic to me. All I wanted to have was a relaxing getaway with my family at some place off the beaten path where the city commotions will not be deafening and the air will be pure. Finding such a place was not much of a problem as living in countryside comes up with many pristine places which are yet to be explored.
The Long-Awaited Picnic
It was during the weekend of Christmas and we decided to utilize the vacation fully on the outskirts at a nature park. As most people generally gathered at the urban areas to take the full essence of Christmas, the nature park was less crowded and it gave us the opportunity to reserve a campsite to stay overnight and have picnic.
Surrounded by towering Pine grove, the picnic area was serene with only the chirping of the birds penetrating the silence. The murmuring cascade nearby added to the charm of the forest and we made sure to take a dip into the pool formed beneath the waterfall. The hike to the falls was easy for all the members of family and especially my little nephew was overwhelmed.
Appetite soon hit us after taking a refreshing swim and thanks to my mother, we filled our tummies with delicious sandwiches. Meanwhile my brother was busy barbecuing the chicken with his wife and with it, our lunch was sumptuous.
In the evening, we had bonfire at the picnic site and under the starlit sky, the picnic concluded as we entered our respective camps.
Far from the city crowd, a picnic with family was something all of us longed for to explore the other side of life. A small rustic campsite with grille and picnic facility made our time enjoyable and the added bonanza was the refreshing plunge into the pool.
While sunny days are the most convenient for outing, monsoon showers have their own charm and enjoying rain on a family outing has long been on my bucket-list. Being an avid hiker and photographer, the passion for exploring new places run through my genes, just as my father and mother. My sister who lives in another city had come to our place for her vacations and it was a perfect setup to plan an outing which would rejuvenate our mind and let us enjoy the magic of rains to the fullest.
Outing on the Blue Mountains
The Neelakurinji flower that blooms after a cycle of twelve years was the main attraction behind choosing the Blue Mountains or Western Ghats for the family outing. A long drive along the winding paths of Kodaikanal was a treat in itself and all the members of the family enjoyed watching the rain soaked tender green plantation along the road.
The carpet of the purple Neelakurinji along the hill slopes flashed in front of our eyes as we reached the picnic spot. After freshening up at the restroom of the picnic area, we set out to explore the forests passing through which we would reach the slopes of the Neelakurinji flower meadows. Rain had subdued by then and a magical mist emerged from the top of the mountains.
The soil was wet but there was no clogging of water, which made hiking through the grassland easy for us. The number of flowers gradually increased and finally we were standing in a purple flower laden meadow where soil could not be seen beneath.
We spent quality time taking pictures of this rare flower before hiking back to the picnic area. The caretaker of the picnic spot greeted us with fuming coffee sourced from the nearby coffee plantation along with crunchy vegetable chops. The lunch comprised of Fried Rice, Chilly Chicken and fried vegetables which is grown at the farm nearby.
We spent some more hours watching the rain in the mountains while having the fruit custard prepared by the caretaker’s wife. The couple also talked with us regarding his farms and the picnic spot which gets filled with tourists during public holidays. Biding adieu and promising to return someday, we were homebound.
A break from the monotony of life not only infused a sense of tranquility in our mind, but also helped each of us spend quality time with each other, something we do not get scope of in the routine schedules. The Western Ghat outing was a lifetime experience with the Neelakurinjis.
The series of examinations made my brain tired of long hours of study and I badly needed a time out with my family. As for my family, they too had not been gone for any outing for the past few years and hence, after the last exam, I decided to call up my aged uncle who lives in another city and ask him to come over with his family. It was time for a family picnic where parents and kids could meet for a reunion and spend a day happily.
Deciding the Place
While my little nephew and niece jumped for the waterpark, my cousin called for the city memorial park and the elders wanted to go to the riverside picnic spot. Finally I and my sister-in-law suggested the countryside farm where my cousin could enjoy photography, kids could interact with farm animals and parents could explore the farm. Everyone jumped in unison and I called the farm owner to confirm our picnic visit the day after.
The Journey
Waking up early and getting ready for the picnic outing, we finally set out in our car. The owner had verified our visit that day and also prescribed the route to be taken to reach his farm. My Mother and aunt had packed breakfast for us which were finished in no time. From the well paved city highway, we took the sideway path that led us to the outskirts where the farm is situated. The pasture fields on both sides of the road and the country cottages kept us charmed till we reached the farm.
The Farm and the Picnic
The cheerful old owner was standing in front of the gate to greet us and his friendliness immediately made all of us comfortable. He escorted us to the rustic cottage where the brick fireplace made us feel cozy. We were served homemade cakes and breads before he took us to the petting farm.
My nephew and niece were screaming in joy seeing the large cocks and hens, rabbits, cows, buffalos, ponies and horses roaming about freely. The owner also gave us grains to feed the birds and grass to feed the animals. The best part however was the pony rides, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
My uncle and father remained with the kids and animals while my mother and aunt were busy in the barn kitchen preparing the lunch. Meanwhile I, my cousin and sister-in-law accompanied the owner, had a look at his vast farm where he grew sunflowers, grapes, pumpkins, tomatoes, potatoes and radishes.
As it was the harvest time, he let us pick the vegetables and grapes to bring back home as well as use for lunch specials with eggs and meat dishes obtained from the farm only. After having a scrumptious lunch together on the large table, all of us decided to interact with the owner, take a walk around the farm and fondle the animals, before setting out for home with a relaxed and stress free mind.
Although meeting the relatives regularly is not possible, thanks to our tight schedules but a quick plan for picnic brought all of us together to have endless chitchats, have food together and visit a new place together. The day ended with a heavy heart but the memory will remain forever.
It was during the scorching summer months of the year and summer vacations were going on. With daily office, school and college, neither my father nor I and my sister could plan for a family picnic. The temperature was increasing day by day and my mother suggested that we all should go for a family picnic at the city waterpark. Nothing could be more refreshing than splashing water for the whole day and relaxing on hammocks under shades of trees.
The Picnic Spot
To avoid the weekend crowds, my father planned the picnic on a weekday. The waterpark had lazy rivers, swimming pools, water slides and splash pads. It also had an amusement center where thrill rides enchanted me. The highlight was a separate picnic area tucked in the garden where mango, banyan, palm and eucalyptus trees provided ample shade. We reserved a poolside cabana and the picnic gazebo overlooking the lazy river right under the shade of the mango tree.
How We Spent the Day
While my mother, my sister and I arranged spare clothes and towels along with some dry food, father finalized the route and picking up time with the car driver. We set out at 8 am and reached the waterpark at 9.30 am. My father took the tickets while I bought the refreshments before entering.
After entering, we put our belongings in the lockers and freshened up at the restroom while my mother made sure we have the stomach-full of breakfast with Bread and Butter, Noodles and Egg Benedicts. Afterwards we decided to check out the play area where kids were riding slides and rocking on swings. Swans were roaming about whom we fed bread crumbs. We then explored the garden area where many annual, perennial and ornamental plants were planted in separate areas. Mother, being an avid gardening enthusiast, was thoroughly delighted to see the rose beds and cactus at the greenhouse.
The temperature was increasing and so we decided to take a dip into the large pool area. Being a weekday, there was not much crowd and we had so much fun splashing water onto each other and jumping at the splash pad area. My parents were a bit hesitant in entering the pool, but we dragged them anyway. As father rented tubes for me and my sister, we decided to take a leisurely float on tubes on the lazy river before having large pepperoni pizzas and fried chicken for lunch from the picnic gazebo.
The main attraction however was the water slides and tunnels which dropped at the main pool. As they were costly, we opted for only one and it was worth it. After some more soaking in the pool, we entered the cabana and change into new clothes. The cold beverages served here, were very refreshing. Next we visited the amusement park to ride the Roller Coaster and Sky Wheel which made our hearts beat faster in delight. I and mother had ice creams while my sister took the candy floss and father took the roasted groundnuts from the concession carousel.
It was late afternoon by then and the sun was not so scorching. As we were tired after so much action, we decided to sit back at the cabana and enjoy watching others in the pools. We were served cold coffee before we started for home at 5 pm.
With a perfect combination of greenery, water slides, pools and amusement rides, our picnic at the city waterpark was full of fun even when the sun beat down upon us mercilessly. The cool water of the pool area was soothing in the sweltering heat and we had the best picnic experience under the mango grove.

In This Blog We Will Discuss
Picnic is the best way to make pleasure and enjoyment in leisure time . A few weeks ago I went on a picnic from my school . We went to Tajmahal , Agra. As you know it is a very popular spot. It takes 3 hours by bus from our village to go there. We hired a micro-bus because we were 10 students and two teachers. That was fun driving, the roadside was amazing. We started our journey at 8 AM and reached there at 11.30 AM. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. Tajmahal was full of spectators and tourists. I did hang out with a few foreign tourists too.
I think a picnic can give us so much fun and entertainment. From our regular boring life, we need to take a break and go for a small picnic. A few weeks ago, I had a picnic with my college friends. We visited the historical Jaisalmer Fort in Rajasthan. As you all know that it is a very popular fort among the tourists.
A huge number of tourists visit this place often. We hired a car because we were four only. And a car was enough for us. It took 4 hours in driving and reaching there. We started our journey early in the morning, and that’s why we reached a little quickly.
The place is full of love history and sensational forts. I love watching forts and old buildings that’s why I picked Jaisalmer as our picnic spot. We had our lunch in a local restaurant and it was really delicious. We took so many photos and wish to visit there again. That was a fun time.
A picnic can refresh your mind, and if you go on a picnic with your family then it comes with more joy and fun. I had that experience a few days ago. I was on a picnic with my parents and my two siblings in Taraporevala Aquarium, Mumbai.
My parents know that we all siblings love the aquarium and that’s why they decided to take us in that place. I think this place is best for a one day picnic. It took only an hour to go to the Taraporevala Aquarium from our home. We drove in our own car and that’s why we didn’t face so many traffic problems .
As all of you know that this is India’s oldest aquarium and one of the main attractions of the whole Mumbai city. Lots of people come here for fun and quality time spending. I can guarantee you that it’s the best place to see in this city. I loved the time when I was there.
My dad promised to take us there again. I can’t explain the feelings on word how beautiful the Aquarium is actually. We took so many photos there. Picnic with family is really amazing. I wish to go more picnic with my family .
The jury in the trial of a former PhD student from the Australian National University accused of raping a woman twice while on a picnic for his birthday has failed to reach a verdict after nearly four days of deliberations.
The 38-year-old man was charged with two counts of sexual assault after a picnic with the alleged victim at a secluded spot at the Cotter Reserve just outside Canberra in 2020.
The case will go before a registrar later this month. It's not yet clear whether there will be a retrial.
Warning: This story contains graphic details of an alleged sexual assault.
During the two-week trial, the ACT Supreme Court heard that on the day of the alleged rape, the pair had a picnic in the car, drank wine from a bottle and put towels on the windows for privacy.
They both gave graphic accounts of what was alleged to have happened next.
The man said he gagged the woman and tied her hands, telling the court she said "yes" when he asked if she was ready.
But the woman said she told him she did not feel comfortable and tried to mouth the word "no".
The man rejected her account, saying he "checked in" with her to make sure she was OK, adding that she replied by saying "yes, daddy", and telling him she loved him.
Prosecutor Trent Hickey challenged the man's version of events.
"You know she is traumatised from what you did?" Mr Hickey asked.
"I do not accept she is traumatised from anything I've done," the man responded.
A key issue in the case was the status of their relationship.
The court heard the pair had exchanged thousands of messages — many sexual in tone — in the lead-up to the alleged incident.
The woman admitted she had fallen for the man after he "love-bombed" her.
"You fell head over heels for him?" the man's lawyer, Andrew Tiedt, asked.
"Yes, at the start," she replied.
The woman maintained she believed the man had been her boyfriend but the man told the jury he was polyamorous and did not regard her as his girlfriend.
The woman also recounted the man's reaction after she told him she was in pain following the alleged rape.
She said he told her she was overreacting and threatened to shoot or stab her, her parents and her dog if she became a liability.
The man said later when the pair drove to another park, the woman gave him a birthday card asking him to leave his wife, which he refused to do.
The woman said she went home and scrubbed herself in the shower for hours, which was backed up by a family member.
A text message the woman sent the man later that night was a pivotal issue in the case.
"Good night my Texas Daddy, I am in a bit of pain but I think it will settle, I hope you had a beautiful birthday, I love you," it read.
Mr Tiedt challenged the woman, saying she was keen to have sex with him again.
The woman described that as "bullshit".
She told the court she sent the message because she was scared and keen to placate him.
In an unusual move, the prosecution was allowed to call for evidence from a second woman who alleged she had been raped by the same man, though he was not charged over the matter.
A police officer gave evidence to say the two women did not know each other.
The court heard the second woman had told the man she did not want to have sex with him but he had done it anyway and said immediately afterwards that "that can never happen again".
The pair had been friends but after the incident, they stopped their frequent messaging.
The man said it was because of a falling-out over an argument.
But Mr Hickey reminded the jury there were messages between the two later when the woman said "you did the wrong thing" and he replied, "yeah, I know".
Mr Hickey also challenged the man over his detailed memory of both events and asked how he could remember so much detail so many years later.
"It was quite a lot of fun," he said.
The jury had been deliberating since Friday but this afternoon told Chief Justice Lucy McCallum it was unable to reach a unanimous verdict and was discharged.
"A person should not be acquitted or found guilty unless 12 people agree," Chief Justice McCallum said.
"It's clear that you have done your best and it doesn't mean that you have failed.
"It means the system has succeeded."
The case will go before a registrar later this month. It is not yet clear whether there will be a retrial.

Quebec City was designed to be imposing. On a steep hill above the St. Lawrence Seaway, behind 17th-century ramparts, the city’s streets are narrow and cobbled — no place for a road-hogging, 21st-century recreational vehicle.
Or so I thought, as I planned an ambitious solo R.V. road trip across eastern Canada — from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Montreal — that would take me through one of the oldest European cities in North America.
Colonial streets weren’t my only mental roadblock when I set out in May to take advantage of a six-night “relocation” deal on an R.V. rental for 39 Canadian dollars a night (about $28) from the Canadian company CanaDream ; its trips normally start at 136 dollars nightly.
When R.V. companies need to move their vehicles to satisfy seasonal demand, they frequently offer relocation or one-way trips at discounted prices. The R.V. rental company Cruise America calls them “one way specials,” which recently included 75 percent off a trip in July from Las Vegas to Orlando. One-way sales from El Monte RV recently listed departures from 30 to 90 percent off.
Based in Calgary, CanaDream shuffles its fleet among seven locations across Canada. With relocation itineraries, the company stipulates the vehicle and departure and arrival dates. Renters pay for gas, food and campsite access in addition to the discounted vehicle.
Travel by R.V. took off during the pandemic as North Americans discovered the convenience and privacy of taking a home on the road. As someone who makes a living traveling light, I considered that style of travel freighted, sluggish and spontaneity-sapping.
