Edd 630 educational research seminar overcoming adversity sample thesis titles and papers.

Titles of some of the previous theses created in my section of Educational Research are listed on this page.

First, none of these papers are perfect and not all earned As. On the first one, I left in the comments I made so you can also get a sense of how I review papers and what are important points to me. Still, please don’t look at these as exemplars and duplicate their errors; instead, look at them as guides of varying abilities that will each help in different ways but where no one helps you in all ways.
Second, some of the papers are the final product after the first semester and some are the final product after the second semester. I’m not sure I should have mixed them together like this, but figured it should be pretty clear which is which and thus to show you the differences between the two. Remember that after the first semester, you will not have any results or a well-developed discussion section, so those papers without those two parts are from the first semester.
Third, yes, you can use these as guides in your own research. If you are interested in a topic similar to any of these, you can use the articles they cite to help you in your own thesis. (Note that a few of them have too few articles: I increased the minimal number needed at one point.)

Employability Status of Bachelor of Elementary Education Graduates of School Year 2014-2018

Profile image of Rey-Mark Basagre

Over the years the Bachelor of Elementary Education demonstrated a good passing percentage in Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) but the elementary education graduates' employability as a success indicator of the program is not yet explored. This study traced the employability status of Bachelor of Elementary Education Graduates of CBSUA-College of Development Education School Year 2014-2018. More specifically, it determined the demographic profile of Bachelor of Elementary Education Graduates of School Year 2014 to 2018, their current employment status, the training or advance studies attended after graduation, and suggestions to improve the curriculum. Descriptive research was used to trace the employability status of the graduates. Results showed that most of the BEED graduates are female, single, and are living in Camarines Sur, and passers of professional licensure examinations. Also, 86.4 percent of the BEED graduates are presently employed with a high percentage of permanent employment status which showed that they are highly employable. The graduates attend to very limited training and advance studies for skills development and content and pedagogy development. Moreover, improvement of educational facilities, conduct education-related training, and seminars, review of the schedules of educational emersion, and enhancement of elementary related curricular and extra-curricular skills was suggested to improve the curriculum.

Education is the basic response to challenges of the socio-economic status of a nation. The higher education, particularly, is tasked to develop human resources that will become a productive and relevantly employed member of the society. One of the important metrics in the implementation of the quality and relevant education is the realization of the graduates of the program in attaining their professional goals. This tracer study among Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education graduates of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges is one of the measures to ensure that the quality of training matches the needs in industry and increases the employability of graduates. Descriptive research method was employed with the total population of the academic Batch 2018 and 2019 graduates as respondents. The chi-square test was used to test the significant relationship between educational profile and their employment status along their graduation year. There were 348 total graduates; however, 300 only participated. It was revealed that 78.05 percent are employed as employees in relevant industries and teachers in the first batch while for the second batch it is 37.78 percent only. This results is attributed to the effects of pandemic as graduates have their first jobs within a year only. Manuel Caingcoy

The demand in the workplace is rapidly changing brought about by the educational reforms and the emergence of disruptive technology. The changes increase the importance of employability skills and literacy that would ensure career success and degree program relevance. On this premise, a study was carried out using a scoping review to examine the existing literature that published information related to employability skills of Teacher Education graduates in the Philippines. The review covered fifteen published articles that qualified in inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results revealed the top employable skills which include communication; information and communication technology; problem-solving and critical thinking; collaboration, cooperation, and teamwork; research; and leadership. This study offers these skills as a framework in the curriculum enhancement of teacher education programs. It was recommended to Teacher Education Institutions to revisit their curriculum and find out if these competencies were given considerable emphasis in instruction. The partially employable skills of graduates from teacher education programs imply the furtherance of the inquiry to confirm if these skills are employable or not. Future tracer studies may take the lens of the framework in evaluating the responsiveness of the curriculum.
