त्यामुळेच एकाच विषयावरचा शालेय पातळीवरचा निबंध आणि स्पर्धा परीक्षांमधला निबंध यात जमीन-अस्मानाचा फरक हवा. शिवाय, स्पर्धा परीक्षांमधून उत्तीर्ण होऊन पुढे तुम्हाला प्रशासकीय सेवेत रूजू व्हायचे असते. अशावेळी परिस्थितीचे नेमके आकलन, समस्येचे गांभीर्य, त्याबद्दलची मतमतांतरे, उपाययोजना, त्यावरचे स्वतःचे स्पष्ट मत, याविषयीचे चौफेर भान असायला हवे असते. निबंध लेखनातून टप्प्याटप्प्याने, तर्कसंगत मांडणीतून एखाद्या निर्णयापर्यंत का आणि कसे जायचे याचेही भान तुम्हाला यानिमित्ताने यावे, ही अपेक्षा असते.

निबंधलेखनामध्ये आत्माविष्काराला मोठा वाव असतो. विचारांतील तर्कशुद्धता, शब्दांवरची हुकमत, कमी वेळात सुव्यवस्थितपणे मांडलेले विचार, वाचन, बहुश्रुतता अशा अनेक पैलूंचे दर्शन घडविण्याची संधी निबंधातून मिळते.जणू आपले व्यक्तिमत्त्वच निबंधातून प्रकट होते. विचार सुचण्यासाठी अनुभव उत्कटपणे घेण्याची आवश्यकता असते. तीच गोष्ट सूक्ष्म निरीक्षणाची. आपल्या पंचेंद्रियांचा उपयोग जागरूकपणे करायला हवा.

काही अनुभव आपण प्रत्यक्ष घेतो, तर काही वाचनातून मिळवता येतील. विविध प्रकारच्या वाचनातून आपल्याला विचारांचा, कल्पनांचा खजिनाच हाती लागतो. त्याचा निबंधलेखनासाठी कसा उपयोग करता येईल, याचा थोडा विचार करूया.

कोणत्याही प्रकारच्या निबंधाचे मुख्यतः दोन भाग पडतात.

1) पहिला भाग म्हणजे त्या निबंधाचे मुद्दे किंवा त्याचा आशय

2) दुसरा भाग म्हणजे त्या आशयाची मांडणी म्हणजेच निबंधशैली.

निबंधाचा आशय आणि शैली या दोन्ही दृष्टीने जो निबंध उंची गाठू शकतो, तो उत्तम ठरतो. मुद्दे चांगले आहेत; पण मांडणी ढिसाळ, अनाकर्षक असेल, तर निबंध सकस पण बेचव, कंटाळवाणा होईल आणि नुसताच भाषेने, अलंकारांनी सजवलेला पण ठोस आशय नसलेला निबंध खमंग, पण निःसत्त्व ठरेल.

जेव्हा आपण निबंधाचा विषय वाचतो. तेव्हा त्या विषयाशी संबंधित अनेक विचार, कल्पना, अनुभव, आठवणी,प्रसंग आपल्या मनात गोळा होतात. या सगळ्यातून निबंधासाठी कोणते मुद्दे महत्त्वाचे आहेत व कोणते गाळले तरी चालतील, हे निबंधाची शब्दमर्यादा लक्षात घेऊन ठरवायला हवे; कारण निबंधासाठी असलेली शब्दमर्यादा पाळणे या आवश्यक असते.

त्यामुळे कोणत्या मुद्दयाचा सविस्तर विचार करायचा व कोणते थोडक्यात मांडायचे, ही दोन्ही आत्मसात करायला हवीत. अर्थात, त्यासाठी सराव महत्वाचा. निबंध लिहिताना निवडलेल्या मुक्ष्यांचा क्रम डोळ्यांपुढे आणून एकातून एक विचार, कल्पना उलगडत जातील, या पद्धतीने या मुद्यांची संगती लावायला हवी निबंध वाचताना त्यातील सलगता जाणवायला हवी.

निबंधाचा दुसरा भाग म्हणजे निबंधाची मांडणी, शैली! आपले विचार, भावना, समर्पक व मोजक्या शब्दांत व्यक्त करता यायला हव्यात .

शब्दरचना व वाक्यरचना जमण्यासाठी विशेषणे, क्रियाविशेषणे, वाक्प्रचार, म्हणी, सुभाषिते, सुविचार यांचे भांडार आपल्याजवळ भरलेले हवे. अवांतर वाचन केलेले असले की, आपल्याबीनिबंधातील आशय ची समृद्धी तर वाढतेच; पण वेगवेगळे लेखक कसे शब्द वापरतात, कशी मांडणी करतात, याच्या परिचयातून आपली स्वतःची शैली विकसित होत जाते.

आवश्यक असे शब्द सहजपणे कागदावर उमटू लागतात. यासाठी वाचनाची साधना हवीच! अवांतर वाचनामध्येही सातत्य व विविधता असायला हवी. दैनंदिन वृत्तपत्रांमधील बातम्यांबरोबरच माहितीपूर्ण, वैचारिक लेख, पुस्तकांमधील चरित्रे, प्रवासवर्णन, ललित निबंध, इतिहास, वैचारिक साहित्य असे विविध प्रकारचे साहित्य वाचायला हवे.

समस्याप्रधान निबंध लिहायचे असतील तर, आपल्या देशाच्या, समाजाच्या स्थितीचा अभ्यास वृत्तपत्र वाचनातून व्हायला हवा. त्याचबरोबर जे वाचले त्याची नोंद करून ठेवायला हवी. निबंधाच्या विषयाशी संबंधित नुकत्याच घडलेल्या घटनांचे संदर्भ देता यायला हवेत. आपले विचार, आपल्याला सुचलेल्या कल्पना टिपून ठेवायला हव्यात.

वाचलेली सुभाषिते, काव्यपंक्ती यांचा वापर योग्य प्रमाणात करायला हवा. अन्यथा विषयाला कृत्रिमता येते. विषयाच्या संदर्भात सर्वसामान्य विचारांबरोबरच आपला खास वेगळा ठसा उमटवणारा मजकूर त्यात आला, तर असा निबंध खूप परिणामकारक ठरू शकतो.

निबंधाच्या मांडणीशी संबंधित अजून एक महत्त्वाचा मुद्दा म्हणजे निबंधाची आकर्षक, योग्य सुरुवात आणि सकारात्मक समारोप!

वेगळा ठसा उमटवणारा मजकूर त्यात आला, तर असा निबंध खूप परिणामकारक ठरू शकतो. निबंधाच्या मांडणीशी संबंधित अजून एक महत्त्वाचा मुद्दा म्हणजे निबंधाची एखाद्या प्रसंगातून नुकत्याच घडलेल्या एखाद्या घटनेचा संदर्भ घेत; निबंध विषयासंबंधात कुतूहल जागे होईल, निबंध वाचायची उत्कंठा निर्माण होईल, अशी निबंधाची सुरुवात असावी.

पण ‘नमनालाच घडाभर तेल अशी अवस्था होत नाही ना, याबद्दल जागरूक असावे.

सुरुवातीची चांगली कल्पना किती तपशीलवार मांडायची. ?

निबंधाची शब्दमर्यादा लक्षात घेऊन ठरवावे, निबंधाचा शेवट करतानाही आशादायी, समस्या निवारणाच्या दिशेने जाणार उपाययोजना सुचवणारा, भविष्याबद्दल मंगल चित्र रंगवणारा असावा, समस्या किती का असेना, ती निवारण्याचे बळ तुम्हा तरुणाईच्या मनगटात नक्कीच आहे, हे निबंधातून जाणवायला हवे. या विभागाचे आणखी एक महत्त्वाचे वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे प्रस्तावना.

Kindness towards nature, animals and other people has the ability to transform the world and make it a beautiful place for living. But, it is also important to remember that kindness towards you is also essential for personal growth.

Kindness is basically being polite, compassionate and thoughtful. Every religion and faith teaches its followers to be kind. Most importantly, kindness must not limit to humans but also to every living creature.

Even nature has its own way of showing kindness. For instance, the trees grow fruits for us and provide us with shade. One must not see kindness as a core value but as a fundamental behavioural element. When you are kind to your loved ones, you create a stable base.

There is no doubt that kindness always wins and it has been proven time and again by people. Sid is a greedy man who does not share his wealth with anyone, not even his family members.

He also does not pay his workers well. One day, he loses his bag of gold coins and loses his temper. Everyone helps him out to search for it but no one finds it. Finally, his worker’s little son finds the bag.

Upon checking the bag, he sees all the coins are there. But, his greed makes him play a trick on the poor worker. He claims that there were more coins in the bag and the worker stole them.

The issue goes to the court and the judge confirms from Sid whether his bag had more coins to which he agrees. So, the judge rules out that as Sid’s bag had more coins , the bag which the worker’s son found is not his.

Therefore, the bag gets handed to the worker as no one else claims it. Consequently, you see how the worker’s son act of kindness won and paid him well. On the other hand, how Sid’s greediness resulted in his loss only.

Some people watch the Olympics for the events. Others watch for the hot athletes.

This is nothing new. Going all the way back to the first century, the orator Dio Chrysostom praised the “beauty” of the boxer Melankomas, who competed in the ancient Greek athletic games .

That same feeling resonates in 2024. A number of participants in the Paris Summer Olympics have distinguished themselves for things beyond their athletic talent. In an extreme case, a pole-vaulter gained a great deal of attention — some might say notoriety — for failing in a unique way. Others caught the public’s attention through moments of love or kindness — a different but equally palpable form of beauty.

There are numerous options to choose from, but here are 10 moments of beauty at the games.

Swimmers and Their Abs

After Italy won bronze in the 4 × 100-meter freestyle relay on July 27, the Italian swimmer Thomas Ceccon, 23, raised his arms in celebration. In doing so, he unintentionally bared his well-cut abs , which had many thirsting on the internet .

(Ceccon, who won gold in the 100-meter backstroke, was later found sleeping on the ground next to a bench in Olympic Village after he had complained about the conditions at the village.)

These are the challenges students must overcome when writing their supplemental essays . Supplemental essays are a critical component of college applications—like the personal statement, they provide students with the opportunity to showcase their authentic voice and perspective beyond the quantitative elements of their applications. However, unlike the personal essay, supplemental essays allow colleges to read students’ responses to targeted prompts and evaluate their candidacy for their specific institution. For this reason, supplemental essay prompts are often abstract, requiring students to get creative, read between the lines, and ditch the traditional essay-writing format when crafting their responses.

While many schools simply want to know “why do you want to attend our school?” others break the mold, inviting students to think outside of the box and answer prompts that are original, head-scratching, or downright weird. This year, the following five colleges pushed students to get creative—if you’re struggling to rise to the challenge, here are some tips for tackling their unique prompts:

University of Chicago

Prompt: We’re all familiar with green-eyed envy or feeling blue, but what about being “caught purple-handed”? Or “tickled orange”? Give an old color-infused expression a new hue and tell us what it represents. – Inspired by Ramsey Bottorff, Class of 2026

What Makes it Unique: No discussion of unique supplemental essay prompts would be complete without mentioning the University of Chicago, a school notorious for its puzzling and original prompts (perhaps the most well-known of these has been the recurring prompt “Find x”). This prompt challenges you to invent a new color-based expression, encouraging both linguistic creativity and a deep dive into the emotional or cultural connotations of color. It’s a prompt that allows you to play with language, think abstractly, and show off your ability to forge connections between concepts that aren’t typically linked—all qualities that likewise demonstrate your preparedness for UChicago’s unique academic environment.

With this in mind, begin by considering the emotions, experiences, or ideas that most resonate with you. Then, use your imagination to consider how a specific color could represent that feeling or concept. Remember that the prompt is ultimately an opportunity to showcase your creativity and original way of looking at the world, so your explanation does not need to be unnecessarily deep or complex—if you have a playful personality, convey your playfulness in your response; if you are known for your sarcasm, consider how you can weave in your biting wit; if you are an amateur poet, consider how you might take inspiration from poetry as you write, or offer a response in the form of a poem.

The goal is to take a familiar concept and turn it into something new and meaningful through a creative lens. Use this essay to showcase your ability to think inventively and to draw surprising connections between language and life.

Harvard University

Prompt: Top 3 things your roommates might like to know about you.

What Makes it Unique: This prompt is unique in both form and substance—first, you only have 150 words to write about all 3 things. Consider using a form other than a traditional essay or short answer response, such as a bullet list or short letter. Additionally, note that the things your roommate might like to learn about you do not necessarily overlap with the things you would traditionally share with an admissions committee. The aim of the prompt is to get to know your quirks and foibles—who are you as a person and a friend? What distinguishes you outside of academics and accolades?

How to Answer it: First and foremost, feel free to get creative with your response to this prompt. While you are producing a supplemental essay and thus a professional piece of writing, the prompt invites you to share more personal qualities, and you should aim to demonstrate your unique characteristics in your own voice. Consider things such as: How would your friends describe you? What funny stories do your parents and siblings share that encapsulate your personality? Or, consider what someone might want to know about living with you: do you snore? Do you have a collection of vintage posters? Are you particularly fastidious? While these may seem like trivial things to mention, the true creativity is in how you connect these qualities to deeper truths about yourself—perhaps your sleepwalking is consistent with your reputation for being the first to raise your hand in class or speak up about a cause you’re passionate about. Perhaps your living conditions are a metaphor for how your brain works—though it looks like a mess to everyone else, you have a place for everything and know exactly where to find it. Whatever qualities you choose, embrace the opportunity to think outside of the box and showcase something that admissions officers won’t learn about anywhere else on your application.

Prompt: Write a short thank-you note to someone you have not yet thanked and would like to acknowledge.

What Makes it Unique: Breaking from the traditional essay format, this supplement invites you to write directly to a third party in the form of a 150-200 word long letter. The challenge in answering this distinct prompt is to remember that your letter should say as much about you, your unique qualities and what you value as it does about the recipient—all while not seeming overly boastful or contrived.

How to Answer it: As you select a recipient, consider the relationships that have been most formative in your high school experience—writing to someone who has played a large part in your story will allow the admissions committee some insight into your development and the meaningful relationships that guided you on your journey. Once you’ve identified the person, craft a thank-you note that is specific and heartfelt—unlike other essays, this prompt invites you to be sentimental and emotional, as long as doing so would authentically convey your feelings of gratitude. Describe the impact they’ve had on you, what you’ve learned from them, and how their influence has shaped your path. For example, if you’re thanking a teacher, don’t just say they helped you become a better student—explain how their encouragement gave you the confidence to pursue your passions. Keep the tone sincere and personal, avoid clichés and focus on the unique role this person has played in your life.

University of Notre Dame

Prompt: What compliment are you most proud of receiving, and why does it mean so much to you?

What Makes it Unique: This prompt is unique in that it invites students to share something about themselves by reflecting on someone else’s words in 50-100 words.

How to Answer it: The key to answering this prompt is to avoid focusing too much on the complement itself and instead focus on your response to receiving it and why it was so important to you. Note that this prompt is not an opportunity to brag about your achievements, but instead to showcase what truly matters to you. Select a compliment that truly speaks to who you are and what you value. It could be related to your character, work ethic, kindness, creativity, or any other quality that you hold in high regard. The compliment doesn’t have to be grand or come from someone with authority—it could be something small but significant that left a lasting impression on you, or it could have particular meaning for you because it came from someone you didn’t expect it to come from. Be brief in setting the stage and explaining the context of the compliment—what is most important is your reflection on its significance and how it shaped your understanding of yourself.

Prompt: List five things that are important to you.

What Makes it Unique: This prompt’s simplicity is what makes it so challenging. Stanford asks for a list, not an essay, which means you have very limited space (50 words) to convey something meaningful about yourself. उंदिरमामाने टोपी डोक्यावर घातली एक ढोलके घेतले. ते वाजवत तो गाणे गाऊ लागला ' राजाच्या टोपीपेक्षा माझी टोपी छान. ढुम,ढुम,ढुमक !' राजाने हे ऐकले . तो शिपायांना म्हणाला ' जा रे, त्या उंदराला पकडून आणा.   

शिपायांनी उंदिरमामाला पकडले. दरबारात आणले. त्याची टोपी काढून राजाकडे दिली. मग उंदिरमामा म्हणाला 'राजा भिकारी, माझी टोपी घेतली. ढुम,ढुम,ढुमक !' 

हे ऐकून राजा खूपच रागावला. त्याने उंदराकडे टोपी फेकून दिली. उंदिरमामाने टोपी पुन्हा डोक्यावर घातली व तो गाणे गाऊ लागला 'राजा मला भ्याला. माझी टोपी दिली. ढुम,ढुम,ढुमक !' हे गाणे गात गात तो राजवाडयातून निघून गेला.

Chal Re Bhoplya Tunuk Tunuk: एक होती म्हातारी. एकदा ती आपल्या लेकीकडे जायला निघाली. लेक रहायची दुसर्या गावाला. रस्त्यानं जाताना मधेच एक मोठे जंगल होत. म्हातारी काठी टेकत, टेकत रस्त्याने निघाली. वाटेत तिला भेटला कोल्हा. तो म्हणाला 'म्हातारे, म्हातारे, मी तुला खातो'. पण म्हातारी हुषार होती. 

 ती म्हणाली 'मला खाऊन तुझे पोट भरणार नाही. त्यापेक्षा थोडे दिवस थांब. लेकीकडे जाते , तूपरोटी खाते, लठ्ठ मुठ्ठ होते, मग मला खा.' कोल्ह्याला म्हातारीचे म्हणणे पटले.म्हातारी पुढे निघाली. तिला भेटला वाघ. तो म्हणाला 'म्हातारे, म्हातारे, मी तुला खातो'. त्याने डरकाळी फोडली. म्हातारी त्याला म्हणाली 'मला खाऊन तुझे पोट भरणार नाही.त्यापेक्षा थोडे दिवस थांब. लेकीकडे जाते , तूपरोटी खाते, लठ्ठमुठ्ठ होते, मग मला खा. ' वाघाची अशी समजूत काढून म्हातारी पुढे निघाली.लेकीकडे गेली .

 ती खूप दिवस मजेत राहिली. खाऊन पिऊन लठ्ठमुठ्ठ झाली. थोडया दिवसांनी  तिला वाटले की आपण आपल्या घरी जावे तेव्हा तिला आठवले की  कोल्हा आणि वाघ आपल्याला खाणार आहे . तिने हे सर्व आपल्या लेकीला सांगितले  मग लेकीने तिला जादूचा भोपळा दिला . आपल्या घरी परत येताना तिने एक मोठा लाल भोपळा घेतला. त्यात बसून ती भोपळयाला म्हणाली ' चल रे भोपळया टुणुक टुणुक'. भोपळा रस्त्याने निघाला. वाटेत वाघाने भोपळा पाहिला. तो म्हणाला 'म्हातारे, म्हातारे थांब!' आतून म्हातारी म्हणाली 'कशाची म्हातारी आणि कशाची कोतारी. चल रे भोपळया टुणुक टुणुक'. त्याबरोबर भोपळा जोरात पळू लागला.

थोडं  पुढे गेल्यावर वाटेत कोल्हा भेटला. तो म्हणाला 'म्हातारे, म्हातारे थांब!' आतून म्हातारी म्हणाली 'कशाची म्हातारी आणि कशाची कोतारी. कोल्ह्यानेही भोपळयाला थांबवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. 

पण म्हातारी आतून म्हणाली 'चल रे भोपळया टुणुक टुणुक!'. पुन्हा भोपळा जोरात पळू लागला. अशी होती म्हातारी हुषार. कोल्हा आणि वाघाच्या तावडीत ती काही सापडली नाही. भोपळयात बसून ती सुखरूप आपल्या घरी पोचली. 

तात्पर्य -  शक्ती पेक्षा युक्ती श्रेष्ट.

3. बुडबुड  घागरी - Bud Bud Ghagri

Bud Bud Ghagri: तो टोपी घालणारा उंदिरमामा आठवतोय? तो गेला एकदा जंगलात. तिथे त्याला एक माकड आणि मांजर भेटले. त्या तिघांची चांगली मैत्री जमली. एक दिवस त्या तिघे  मित्रांनी खीर बनविण्याचे ठरवले. माकड म्हणाले 'मी आणतो साखर'. मांजर म्हणाले 'मी आणते दूध'. उंदीर म्हणाला 'मी आणतो शेवया'. तिघांनी पातेलेभर खीर केली. 

मग माकड म्हणाले 'चला आपण आंघोळ करून येऊ आणि मगच खीर खाऊ'. इकडे मांजराच्या तोंडाला पाणी सुटले होते. मांजर म्हणाली  तुम्ही जा मी खीर शिजवते. माकड आणि उंदीर म्हणाले, ठीक आहे आणि ते दोघे आंघोळ करण्यासाठी जातात. 

मांजरीच्या तोंडाला पाणी सुटणे ती थोडी खीर खाते .तेवढी  खाऊन झाली पण तिला आणखी खावी वाटली.पुन्हा थोडी घेतली असे करत तिने सगळी खीर खाऊन टाकली . थोडया वेळाने माकड व उंदीर आले. पहातात तो काय, खिरीचे पातेले रिकामे ! त्यांनी मांजराला विचारले 'खीर कोणी खाल्ली?' मांजर म्हणाले, 'मला नाही माहीत.' 

मग माकडाने एक घागर घेतली व सर्वजण नदीवर गेले. माकडाने घागर पाण्यात पालथी घातली. त्यावर उभे राहून माकड म्हणाले ' हुप हुप करी, वरचे डोंगरी, मी खीर खाल्ली तर बुड घागरी'. पण घागर काही बुडाली नाही. मग उंदीर घागरीवर उभा राहिला व म्हणाला 'चूं चूं करी, वरचे डोंगरी, मी खीर खाल्ली तर बुड घागरी'. पण घागर काही बुडाली नाही. आता मांजराची पाळी आली.

मांजर खरे तर घाबरले होते. कसेबसे ते घागरीवर उभे राहिले व म्हणाले ' म्यांव म्यांव करी, वरचे डोंगरी, मी खीर खाल्ली तर बुड घागरी'. अन काय आश्चर्य, घागर पाण्यात बुडाली. चोरून खीर खाल्ल्याची मांजराला शिक्षा मिळाली.

तात्पर्य - नेहमी खरे बोलावे 

4. कावळा चिमणीची गोष्ट - Kavla Ani Chimni Chi Goshta

लहान मुलांच्या मराठी गोष्टी: एक होती चिमणी आणि एक होता कावळा. चिमणीचं घर होत मेणाच, छोटंस आणि खूप सुंदर. चिमणी सारखी कामात असे. आळशी कावळ्यासारखं  बसायला तिला मुळीच आवडत नसे. याउलट कावळयाचं घर शेणाचं होतं. घरात सगळीकडे पसाराच पसारा असे. कावळा दिवसभर इकडे तिकडे टिवल्याबावल्या करायचा, बडबड करायचा. हा खोडकर कावळा कोणालाच आवडायचा नाही. 

एक दिवस काय झालं आकाशात मोठे मोठे काळे ढग आले. सोसाटयाचा वारा सुटला. टप् टप् पाऊस पडू लागला. झाडे भिजली. जमिनीवरून धो धो पाणी वहायला लागलं. कावळयाच घर होत शेणाच. तेही पाण्यात वाहून गेल. हू...हू...हू...हू...! कावळा काकडला. आता कुठे जाव बर? एवढयात त्याला आठवल, चिमणीच घर आहे शेजारीच. मग कावळा आला चिमणीकडे. पण चिमणीच्या घराचे दार तर बंद होते. 'चिऊताई, चिऊताई, दार उघड !'      

चिमणी आतून म्हणाली 'थांब माझ्या बाळाला काजळ-पावडर लावते' थोडावेळ थांबून पुन्हा कावळयाने कडी वाजवली 'चिऊताई, चिऊताई, दार उघड !' चिमणी आतून म्हणाली 'थांब माझ्या बाळाला झोपवते' इकडे कावळयाला खूप भूक लागली होती.

पण सगळीकडे पाणीच पाणी झाले होते. काय करतो बिचारा! एवढंस तोंड करून कुडकुडत उभा राहिला. चिऊताईचे बाळ झोपल्यावर तिने दार उघडले. 

 कावळा घरात आला. भिजल्यामुळे त्याला खूप थंडी वाजत होती. चिमणी म्हणाली 'तू बैस चुलीपाशी'. कावळा चुलीपाशी बसला. चुलीवर होती खीर ! कावळयाच्या तोंडाला पाणी सुटले.त्याने थोडी थोडी करत सगळी खीर संपवली. थोडया वेळाने पाऊस थांबला. कावळयाने घरटयाचे मागचे दार उघडले आणि तो भुर्रकन् उडून गेला. असा होता कावळा आळशी आणि लबाड.

तात्पर्य - लबाडपणाचे   ध्येय  कधीच  साध्य  होत नाही.

5. कावळयाची शिक्षा आणि चिमणीचे बक्षीस - Kavla Ani Chimni Chi Goshta 

Kavla Ani Chimni Chi Goshta: एक होता आळशी आणि लबाड कावळा. पहिल्या गोष्टीत पाहिला ना? तोच तो. तो लोळ लोळ लोळला, तर शेणाने भरला. त्याने वर पाहीले तर त्याचा डोळा फुटला. त्याने बिळात हात घातला तर त्याला विंचू चावला. तो देवळात गेला तर त्याला मार मिळाला. बिचारा रड रड रडला अन् घरी येऊन झोपी गेला. 

एक होती कामसू चिमणी. पहिल्या गोष्टीत पाहिली ना घर स्वच्छ ठेवणारी? तीच ती. ती लोळ लोळ लोळली. तर मोत्याने भरली. तिने वर पाहिले तर तिला चंद्रहार मिळाला. तिने बिळात हात घातला तर तिला अंगठी मिळाली. ती देवळात गेली तर तिला साडी-चोळी मिळाली. ती साडी-चोळी नेसली, पालखीत बसली अन् घरी येऊन झोपी गेली.

6. कोल्हा, रानमांजर आणि ससा

छान छान गोष्टी: एक लहानसा ससा होता. तो खूप भित्रा होता. तो भित्रा ससा एका बिळात रहात असे. त्याने एके दिवशी आपल्या बिळाच्या तोंडाशी एका कोल्ह्याला बसलेले पाहिले, तो खूप घाबरला. पण त्याने विचार केला की, बिळाचे तोंड लहान आहे. त्यातून कोल्हा काही आत येऊ शकणार नाही. मग त्याची भीति कमी झाली.

नंतर, एक दिवस त्याने कोल्हा आणि रानमांजर गप्पा मारीत आहेत असे पाहिले. हे काही बरे नाही असे त्याला वाटले. थोड्या वेळाने ते रानमांजर सशाच्या बिळात शिरले आणि त्याला आपल्या पंजानी ओरबाडू लागले. ससा भिऊन बाहेर पळाला. तोच कोल्ह्याने त्याच्यावर झडप घातली आणि दोघांनी मिळून त्याच्यावर ताव मारण्यास सुरुवात केली.

Sinha Ani Undir Story: उन्हाळ्याच्या दिवसात, एक सिंह, एका आंब्याच्या थंड छायेत सुस्त निजला होता; तिथे एक उंदीर येतो. तो  उंदीर सिंहला  खूप त्रास देतो. त्यामुळे जागा होऊन, सिंहने पंजात उंदीरला धरला आणि त्यास आता फाडून टाकणार इतक्यात, त्या उंदराने त्याची प्रार्थना केली, ‘महाराज, आपण थोर, सर्व श्वापदांचे राजे, मी आपल्यापुढे केवळ रंक, माझ्या रक्ताने आपले हात विटाळू नयेत. मला जीवदान दयावे, हेच आपणास उचित आहे.’ ते ऐकून सिंहास त्याची दया आली आणि त्याने त्यास सोडून दिले. 

पुढे एके दिवशी सिंह अरण्यात फिरत असताना आंब्याच्या झाडाजवळ जातो, त्याच आंब्याजवळ पारध्याने जाळे मांडले होते, त्यात सिंह सापडतो. त्यावेळी त्याने आपले सगळे बळ खर्चून फार धडपड केली. पण त्याची सुटका होईना. तेव्हा तो निराश झाला आणि मोठमोठयाने ओरडू लागला. ती ओरडणं ऐकून तो उंदीर त्या ठिकाणी आला आणि सिंहास म्हणाला, ‘राजा, भिऊ नको, स्वस्थ रहा. ’ इतके बोलून, त्याने आपल्या दातांनी ते जाळे कुरतडले व सिंहाची सुटका केली.

तात्पर्य:- जे मोठे आहेत त्यांचेही एखादे मोठे काम लहानाच्या हातून, एखादे वेळी होते. यासाठी, कोणास क्षुद्र समजून त्याचा उपहास करू नये किंवा त्यास दुखवू नये. लहानाच्या हातूनही उपकार होऊ शकतात, हे लक्षात ठेवावे. वैभव कायम राहीलच, असा नेम नाही, यासाठी आपल्या चालत्या काळी, मनुष्याने लोकांवर उपकार करून ठेविले, तर पडत्या काळात तेच 

8. सिंह, लांडगा आणि कोल्हा - Sinha Landga Ani Kolha

Marathi Stories For Kids :  जनावरांचा राजा जो सिंह तो एकदा फार आजारी पडला. पुष्कळ औषधोपचार केले, पण काही गुण येईना. त्याच्या समाचारास सगळे पशु रोज येत असत, पण कोल्हा मात्र येत नसे कोल्हयाचे व लांडग्याचे वैर होते.

लांडग्याने सिंहास सांगितले की, ‘महाराज, कोल्हा हल्ली आपल्या दरबारात हजर राहात नाही, यावरून तो आपल्या विरुद्ध काहीतरी कारस्थान करीत असावा, असे मला वाटते.’ हे भाषण ऐकून सिंहास कोल्हयाविषयी संशय आला व त्याने त्यास ताबडतोब बोलावून आणण्यासाठी एका पशूस पाठविले. हुकुमाप्रमाणे कोल्हा दरबारात येऊन हजर होताच सिंह त्यास म्हणतो, ‘काय रे, मी इतका आजारी असता माझ्या समाचारास तू मुळीच येत नाहीस, याचे कारण काय बरे ?’ कोल्हा उत्तर करतो, ‘महाराज, आपल्यासाठी एकदा चांगलासा वैदय मी पहात होतो. 

शेवटी कालच एका मोठया वैदयाची व माझी गाठ पडली; त्यास मी आपल्या प्रकृतीसंबंधीने विचारले, तेव्हा त्याने सांगितले की, नुकतेच काढलेले लांडग्याचे ओले कातडे पांघरावयास घेतले असता, हा रोग बरा होईल; याशिवाय अन्य उपाय नाही.’ कोल्हयाचे हे भाषण सिंहास खरे वाटले व त्याने कातडयासाठी लांडग्याचा तात्काळ प्राण घेतला.

तात्पर्य:- दुसऱ्याचा नाश व्हावा अशी इच्छा धारण करणारे लोक बहुधा स्वतःच नाश पावतात.

9. गाढवाला मिळाली शिक्षा - Gadhvala Midali Shiksha

एक दिवस गाडवाचा पाय पाण्यात घसरतो आणि ते पाण्यात मिठाच्या ओझ्यासहित पडते. त्याचा मालक उठविण्यास मदत करतो आणि मग ते दोघे पुन्हा चालू लागतात.थोडेसे मीठ पाण्यात विरघाल्यामुळे गाढवाला हलके वाटू लागते आणि ते खूप आनंदी होऊन  पुढची वाटचाल करू लागते.

आता दरोज गाढव त्याचा पाय मुद्दाम पाण्यात घसारवू लागले.गाढवाचे असे रोजचे खोटे नाटक पाहून त्याचा मालक गाढवाला धडा शिकवायचे ठरवतो.  

दुसऱ्या दिवशी व्यापारी गाढवाच्या पाठीवर कापसाचे ओझे ठेवतो . गाढव त्या दिवशी  देखील मुद्दाम पाय घासारावते आणि पाण्यात पडते.आजपण त्याचा मालक उठवण्यास मदत करतो पण गाढवाला काही उठता येत नाही कारण,कापसाने पाणी शोषून घेतलेले असते.त्यामुळे ओझे हलके होण्याऐवजी जड झालेले असते. अशा प्रकारे गाढवाला चांगली शिक्षा मिळते.

तात्पर्य - आपल्या कामाशी प्रामाणिकपणे राहावे .

10. प्रमाणिक लाकुडतोड्या - Pramanik Lakudtodya

Pramanik Lakudtodya: ऐका गावात एक लाकुडतोड्या राहत होता. एक दिवशी तो  दुपारी  लाकुडतोड्ण्यासाठी    नदीजवळ एक मोठ झाड  होते तेथे गेला. झाड  तोडत असतानाच  त्याची अचनक  कुराड पाण्यात पडते. लाकुडतोड्याकडे एकच कुऱ्हाड असते आणि नेमकी तीच कुऱ्हाड तो  गमावतो.

 त्याच्याजवळ  दुसरी   कुऱ्हाड विकत घेण्यासाटी पैसेपण पुरेसे  नसतात.तो नदी जवळ बसतो आणि रडू लागतो. नदी उर्फ सरिता देवी त्याचे रडणे ऐकते. ती त्याच्या समोर प्रकट होते आणि विचारते , का रे ? का रडत आहेस तू ?' लाकूडतोड्या सारीतादेवीला गमवलेल्या कुऱ्हाडीबदल सांगतो. 

सारीतादेवी अदृश्य होते. नदीतून परत येते तेव्हा तिच्या हातात सोन्यची कुऱ्हाड असते.ती लाकूडतोड्याला दाखवते.लाकुडतोड्या नम्रपणे  म्हणतो देवी, ' ही माझी कुऱ्हाड नाही. 

मग देवी त्याला चांदीची कुऱ्हाड दाखवते.पुन्हा तो नकारार्थी मान डोलावतो आणि म्हणतो ' हे  देखील नाही '. नंतर देवी त्याला लोखंडाची कुऱ्हाड दाखवते.लाकुडतोड्या म्हणतो ' होय हीच माझी कुऱ्हाड आहे माता!'

देवी म्हणते तुझा प्रामाणिक पणा मला आवडला' या तीनही कुऱ्हाडी तुलाच ठेव माझा मुला.प्रामाणिकपणा मोठाच बक्षीस मिळवून देतो.

तात्पर्य - नेहमी खरे बोलावे.

11. ससा आणि कासवाची  गोष्ट - Sasa Ani Kasav Story in Marathi

Sasa Ani Kasav Story in Marathi: ही गोष्ट आहे ससा आणि कासवाची. एक होता ससा. ससा  सगळ्या गोष्टींमध्ये असतोना तसाच. गोरा गोबरा, मऊ, लांब कानांचा, मण्यासारख्या लालचुटुक डोळ्यांचा आणि टुण्ण टुण्ण उड्या मारत झटकन पसार होणारा. एकदा एका कासवाशी त्याची मैत्री झाली. पण कासव होतं हळू, जसं नेहमी असतं तसचं. 

दोघेही एकाच पालकच्या मळ्यात कोवळा पाला खायला जायचे. ससा कासवाला म्हणाला,''किती रे तु हळू'' '' कासव म्हणालं, ''पण तुला माहिती आहे का, सगळ्या गोष्टींमध्ये ना मीच शर्यत जिंकतो.

सशाला त्याचं हे म्हणणं जरा आवडलं नाही. नाक मुरडत ससा म्हणाला ''मग काय भाऊ लावायची का शर्यत परत एकदा? या समोरच्या डोंगरावरच्या त्या आंब्याच्या झाडापर्यंत''  कासवं म्हणालं '' हो पण जरा मला सराव करायला दोन दिवसांचा वेळ लागेल. तुला चालेल का?'' ससोबा म्हणाला, '' ठीक आहे मग रविवारी सकाळी नऊ वाजता इथेच भेटूया.''

शर्यत ठरल्यानंतर ससा तडक त्याच्या आजोबांकडे गेला. त्यांना म्हणाला,'' हे काय हो आजोबा प्रत्येक गोष्टीत कासवंच शर्यत का जिंकतं. मला ही गोष्ट खोटी पाडायची आहे. आता काय काय करु ते सांगा.'' ससोबाचे आजोबा त्याला म्हणाले,'' बाळा, जर न थांबता धावलं ना तरच जिंकता येईल शर्यत आणि झोप तर अगदी वर्ज्य. मी झोपल्यामुळेच शर्यत हारलो होतो. '' ससा म्हणाला,'' ठीक आहे मी लक्षात ठेवीन आणि शर्यत जिंकूनच दाखवीन.''

रविवारी सकाळी ठरलेल्या वेळेवर कासव आणि ससा यांची शर्यत सुरु झाली. ससोबा अगदी वेगाने धावत सुटले. कासवही निरनिराळ्या युक्त्या लढवत कधी घरंगळत तर कधी वेगाने चालण्याचा प्रयत्न करत निघाले होते. अर्ध्या रस्त्यात ससोबांना एक मोठी टोपली दिसली त्यातून कोवळा पाला, गाजरं आणि मुळे डोकावत होते. ससोबांनी अदमास घेतला. 

कासव अजून किमान दोन तास तरी त्यांच्या आसपास फिरकू शकणार नव्हते. ससोबा झाडाच्या सावलीत बसले आणि टोपलीतला पाला, गाजरं खाऊ लागले. टोपलीतल्या वस्तू संपत असताना ससोबांना एक छानशी गोल चमकणारी वस्तू दिसली. ससोबांनी ती आपल्या चेहर्या समोर धरली. तो एक आरसा होता. त्यांनी यापूर्वी ही वस्तू कधी पाहिलीच नव्हती. 

पाण्यात अस्पष्ट दिसणारं त्यांचं रुपडं इतकं स्पष्ट दिसत होतं की ससोबा हरखले. ते त्या आरशात स्वत:ला न्याहाळू लागले, लांबलांब कान, छानदार डोळे, मिष्कील मिशा. आपल्या चेहर्याच्या विविध मुद्रा पहाण्यात ते इतके रमले की शर्यत बिर्यत साफ विसरले. संध्याकाळी घरी जाणार्या सूर्याचे किरण आरशात दिसल्यानंतर ससोबांना शर्यतीची आठवण झाली.

ते वेगाने टुण्ण टुण्ण उड्या मारत आंब्याच्या झाडापर्यंत पोहोचले, कासव तिथे त्यांची वाट पहात होते. ससोबा स्वत:शीच तणतणू लागले '' पण मी तर खूप पुढे होतो आणि आजोबांनी सांगितल्याप्रमाणे झोपलो पण नाही तरी कसा शर्यत हारलो.'' कासव म्हणाले,'' ससोबा मला सुद्धा आजोबा आहेत. तु जसं तुझ्या आजोबांना विचारलंस ना तसचं मी सुद्धा विचारलं आणि आम्ही दोघे ती भाज्यांची टोपली आणि आरसा कालच रस्त्यात ठेवून आलो होतो.'' खरोखर न थांबता पोहोचण्याचा प्रयत्न केला ना तरचं शर्यत जिंकता येते.

तात्पर्य- प्रयत्न केला तर यश मिळते.

12. कबुतर आणि मुंगी ची गोष्ट - Kabutar Ani Mungi Chi Goshta

Kabutar Ani Mungi Chi Goshta: एका मुंगीला खूप तहान लागली म्हणून ती नदीच्या काठावर पाणी पिण्यासाठी गेली. तेंव्हा तिचा पाय घसरला व ती पाण्यात पडली. ते जवळच झाडावर बसलेल्या कबुतराने पाहिले बुडणाऱ्या मुंगीची त्याला दया आली.

पटकऩ त्याने झाडाचे एक सुकलेले पान मुंगीजवळ फेकले. मुंगी पानावर चढली आणि सुरक्षितपणे ती काठावर पोहोचली. तेवढ्यात तेथे एक फासेपारधी कबुतराला पकडण्यासाठी आला. तो कबुतरावर जाळे फेकणार एवढ्यात मुंगी फासेपारध्याच्या पायाला चावली. 

त्यामुळे तो जोरात ओरडला. कबुतर त्यामुळे सावध झाले व फासेपारध्याला पाहून पळून गेले. अशा प्रकारे कबुतराच्या सत्कर्माचे फळ त्याला लगेच मिळाले व त्याचे प्राण वाचले.

तात्पर्य -  संकटकाळी मदत करणारे हेच खरे मित्र.

13. ससा आणि सिंह ची गोष्ट - Sasa Ani Sinha Chi Goshta

 माझ्या जेवणाच्या वेळी रोज एका प्राण्याला माझ्याकडे पाठवा. म्हणजे मी अन्य प्राण्यांना त्रास देणार नाही असे सिंह म्हणाला. ज्या दिवशी एकही प्राणी येणार नाही त्या दिवशी मी  तुन्हा सर्वाना ठार मरीन, अशी धमकी त्या सिंहना सर्व प्राण्यांना दिली. 

रोज ठरल्याप्रमाणे एक-एक प्राणी सिंहाकडे जाऊ लागला. एके दिवशी सशाची वेळ आली. तो सिंहाकडे जायला निघाला तेव्हा रस्त्यात त्याला एक विहीर दिसली. विहीर दिसताच सशाला एक कल्पना सुचली. भन्नाट कल्पना सुचण्याच्या आनंदात  ससा दिवस भर जंगलात फिरत राहिला. संध्याकाळी उशिरा तो सिंहाच्या गुहेपाशी गेला. सिंहाने त्याला गुरगुरतच विचारले - काय रे, दिवसभर तू कोठे होतास? 

ससा अत्यंत नम्रपणे म्हणाला ' मी येतच होतो पण रस्त्यात मला दुसरा सिंह भेटला त्याने मला अडवले.' 

 सिंहाने त्याला रागावूनच विचारले, 'कोठे आहे दुसरा सिंह?'  ससा म्हणाला चल मी दाखवतो. साशाच्यापाठोपाठ सिंहाची स्वारी निघाली, दोघेही विहिरीपाशी आले. ससा म्हणाला , महाराज तो सिंह या विहिरीत लपला आहे. 

सिंहाने  विहिरीत डोकावून पहिले. स्वत:चेच प्रतिबिंब त्याने पहिले. ते प्रतिबिंब म्हणजे त्याला  दुसरा सिंह वाटला. अत्यंत रागाने त्याने विहिरीत उडी मारली.  अत्यंत खोल असलेल्या विहिरीत तो सिंह पडला. आणि जंगलातील  प्राण्यांचा प्रश्न कायमचाच सुटला. सर्व प्राण्यांना खूप आनंद झाला.

तात्पर्य - शक्ती पेक्षा युक्ती श्रेष्ठ

14. दोघांचे भांडण तिसऱ्याचा लाभ - Doghanche Bhandan Tisryach Labh

गवळी झोपला आहे आणि बाजूच्या मडक्यात दुध, तूप, लोणी आहे. हे त्या झाडावरील दोन माकडांनी पाहिले. ती माकड खाली उतरली आणि त्यातील एक लोण्याचे मडके त्यांनी पळविले. परंतु त्या मडक्यातील लोणी दोघांनी बरोबर अर्धे अर्धे वाटून घ्यायचे यावरून दोघात वाद सुरु झाला. 

म्हणून हे लोणी दुसऱ्या कोणाकडून वाटून घेऊ, असे ठरवून ते दोघे लोणी घेऊन एका बोक्याकडे आले. बोक्याला आयतीच संधी चालून आली.  बोक्याने त्यांना लोणी सारखे मोजण्यासाठी एक तराजू आणण्यास सांगितला. तराजू मिळताच बोक्याने लोण्याचे दोन भाग करून तराजूत टाकले.  

एका पारड्यात लोणी जास्त झाले म्हणून वजन सारखे करतो असे दाखवून त्याने त्या परड्यातले थोडे लोणी खाऊन टाकले. त्यामुळे दुसऱ्या पारड्यात वजन जास्त झाले. मग त्यातील थोडे लोणी खाल्ले. असे करता करता बोक्याने आलटून पालटून एकेका पारड्यातले लोणी खात सर्व लोणी संपविले. माकडांना काहीच लोणी शिल्लक राहिले नाही.  आपण दोघ भांडलो त्याचा फायदा बोक्यानी घेतला. हे उशीरा त्याच्या लक्षात आले.

तात्पर्य - दोघांच भांडण तिसऱ्याचा लाभ

15. दुष्‍ट कोल्‍ह्याला शिक्षा - Dusht Kolhyala Shiksha

 उंट कोल्‍ह्यासोबत शेतात गेला. कोल्‍ह्याने आधी जाऊन स्‍वत: खाऊन घेतले व उंटाला नंतर पाठविले. उंट शेतात जाताच कोल्‍ह्याने मग जोराने कोल्‍हेकुई सुरु केली. कोल्‍ह्याचा आवाज ऐकताच शेताचा मालक आणि त्‍याचे चार गडी शेतात घुसले. त्‍यांना पाहताच कोल्‍ह्याने जोरात धूम ठोकली व जंगलात पळून गेला पण बिचारा उंट पळता न आल्‍यामुळे तिथेच अडकून बसला. शेतक-याने उंटाला बेदम मारहाण केली. 

त्‍याला मार खाताना पाहून कोल्‍ह्याला खूप आनंद झाला. या गोष्‍टीला काही दिवस गेले. कोल्‍ह्याने उंटाला परत एकदा फसवून पुन्‍हा शेतात नेले व पुन्‍हा एकदा उंटालाच मार पडला. दरवेळी आपल्‍यालाच मार पडतो ही गोष्‍ट आता उंटाच्‍या लक्षात आली व त्‍याने कोल्‍ह्याची खोड मोडण्‍याचे ठरविले. काही दिवसांनी मोठा पाऊस झाला व जंगलामध्‍ये पाणीच पाणी झाले. चिखल आणि दलदलीमधून छोट्या प्राण्‍यांना बाहेर काढण्‍याची जबाबदारी सिंहाने उंटावर सोपविली. उंटाने सगळे प्राणी बाहेर नेऊन सुरक्षित ठिकाणी सोडले मात्र जेव्‍हा कोल्‍ह्याची वेळ आली तेव्‍हा उंटाने मुद्दामच जास्‍त खोल पाण्‍यात नेऊन डुबकी मारली. कोल्‍हा पाण्‍यात पाण्‍यात बुडून मरण पावला.

तात्‍पर्य : करावे तसे भरावे. जो जसा पेरतो तसेच फळ त्‍याला प्राप्त होते.

16. बासरीवाला मुलगा आणि गावकरी - Basriwala Mulga Ani Gavkari

त्यामुळे अन्नाचे नुकसान होत होते. कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत उंदरांचा नाश करायचा असे गावकरी ठरवतात. पण अनेक उपाय करूनही उंदरांचा नाश होत नाही.

ही गोष्ट शेजारच्या गावातील एका बासरीवाल्याला कळते. तो या गावात येतो व गावकर्‍यांना सांगतो, की मी या उंदराचा बंदोबस्त करतो. तुम्ही मला त्या बदल्यात शंभर सुवर्णमुद्रा द्या. गावकरी तयार होतात. मग तो बासरीवाला बासरी वाजवत गावात हिंडू लागतो.

त्याच्या बासरीच्या सुरामुळे सर्व उंदीर त्याच्याकडे आकर्षित होतात. व त्याच्यामागे धावू लागतात. तो तसाच नदीत जातो. त्याच्याबरोबर उंदीरही पाण्यात जातात. आणि पाण्यात बुडून मरतात..

बासरीवाला गावकर्‍यांना आपली बिदागी मागतो. मात्र, गावकरी शंभर सुवर्णमुद्रा द्यायला नकार देतात. बासरीवाल्याला गावकर्‍यांची लबाडी कळून येते.

तो म्हणतो ठिक आहे, आता मी तुम्हाला कशी अद्दल घडवतो ते पहा. तो पुन्हा बासरी वाजवत गावात फिरू लागतो. या वेळी त्याच्या बासरीचे सूर ऐकून लहान मुले त्याच्याकडे आकर्षली जातात. ती त्याच्या मागे धावू लागतात.

गावकर्‍यांना भीती वाटते की उंदराप्रमाणे तो आपल्या मुलांनाही नदीत नेऊन बुडवेल. त्यामुळे गावकरी त्याला थांबवून शंभर सुवर्णमुद्रा देतात

तात्‍पर्य - उपकार करणार्‍याशी कृतघ्न वागू नये.

17. आति तिथे माती गोष्ट - Ati Tithe Mati Story

देवाला त्याची दया आली व एक दिवस देव त्यावर प्रसन्न झाला व म्हणाला 'तुला काय हवे ते मग'भिकाऱ्याने सोन्याच्या मोहरा मागितल्या .देव म्हणाला 'मोहरा कशात घेणार?"  भिकाऱ्याने झोळी पुढे केली.मोहरा झोळीत टाकण्यापूर्वी देव  म्हणाला'मी तुझ्या झोळीत मोहरा टाकत जाईल जेव्हा तू थांब म्हणशील तेव्हाच मी थांबेल.

पण हे लक्षात ठेव जर तुझ्या झोळीतून एक जरी मोहर खाली जमिनीवर पडली तर त्याची माती होईल .भिकाऱ्याने जेव्हा अट अमान्य केली .देव भिकाऱ्याच्या झोळीत मोहरा ओतू  लागला  हळूहळू   झोळी भारत आली पण भिकाऱ्याला सोन्याचा मोह आवरेना. 

मोहरांच्या वजनाने झोळी फटू शकते हे त्याच्या लक्षात येऊनही तो थांब म्हणत नव्हता .शेवटी जे व्हायचे तेच झाले.त्याची झोळी फाटली व त्यातील सर्व सोन्याच्या मोहरा खाली पडतात व त्याची माती होते.

त्याच्याबरोबर देवही नाहीसा होतो व त्याच्याजवळ रडण्याशिवाय काहीच उरात नाही.आणि शेवटी समाधानी वृत्ती नसल्यामुळे तो भिकारी पुन्हा गरीब व भिकारीच राहतो.

 तात्पर्य  - कोणत्याही गोष्टीचा आति लोभ करू नये.   

18. कष्टाचे फळ - Kashtache Fal Story in Marathi

Kashtache Fal Story in Marathi: एक गावात एक म्हातारा शेतकरी राहत होता. त्याला पाच मुले होती व ती सर्वच्या सर्व खूप आळशी होती त्यांना  कष्ट करणे माहीतच नव्हते ते फक्त वडिलांच्या पैशांवर  मजा करायचे.

त्यांच्या मनात नेहमी विचार यायचा की आपण गेल्यानंतर आपल्या आळशी मुलांचे कसे होणार, व त्यांच्या संसार कसा चालणार ? यावर त्या शेतकऱ्याला एक कल्पना सुचवते व ते एके दिवशी आपल्या पाचही मुलांना  जवळ बोलावितात व त्यांना सांगतात की आपल्या पूर्वजांनी शेतामधील एक सोन्याच्या नाणयांनी भरलेला एक हंडा पुरलेला आहे. मी गावाला गेल्यावर तुम्ही शेत खणा  व धन काढून ते आपापसात वाटून घ्या.

दुसऱ्या दिवशी तो शेतकरी गावाला गेल्यानंतर त्या पाचही जणांना सोन्याचा हंडा मिळवण्यासाठी सर्व शेत खणून काढले पण त्यांना सोन्याचा हंडा सापडला नाही .मग त्यांनी विचार केला की एवढे शेत कानाला आहे तर यात धान्य पेरावे म्हणून त्यांनी तेथे धान्य पेरले.

त्यावेळेस पाऊसही चांगला पडला व त्यांनी पेरलेल्या धान्यामुळे त्यांना भरगोस उत्पन्न मिळाले. त्यांनी ते बाजारात  जाऊन विकले व त्यामाना भरपूर धन मिळाले. 

गावाहून वडील आल्यानंतर त्या पाचही मुलांनी झालेला प्रकार वडिलांना सांगितला. तेव्हा ते बोलले,'मी तुम्हाला याचा धनाबद्दल सांगत होतो जर तुम्ही अशीच मेहनत केली तर तुम्हाला दरवर्षी असेच धन मिळत राहील.'

तात्पर्य-  कष्टाचे फळ हे नेहमी गोड असते.

19. अहंकारी राजाला धडा - Ahankari Rajala Dhada

Ahankari Rajala Dhada: एक अहंकारी राजा होता. त्‍याला आपल्‍या ऐश्‍वर्याचा आणि राज्‍याचा गर्व होता. तसेच आपली शक्‍ती आणि रूपावरही तो अहंगंड बाळगून असायचा. आपल्‍या बुद्धीचा टेंभा मिरवायचा. युद्धात जय मिळाला की त्‍याला गर्व चढायचा. आपल्‍यासमोर तो इतरांना तुच्‍छ लेखत असे. कोणाचा मुलाहिजा न बाळगता त्‍याचा तो अपमान करत असे. दुस-याला कमी लेखण्‍याचा त्‍याचा प्रयत्‍न असायचा. या कारणांमुळे लोक त्‍याच्‍यावर नाराज असायचे. 

त्‍याच राज्‍यात एका विद्वान पंडीताने त्‍याला वठणीवर आणण्‍याचे ठरविले. एके दिवशी तो पंडीत राजाच्‍या दरबारात गेला आणि राजाला प्रणाम केला. राजाने उद्दामपणे प्रतिनमस्‍कारही केला नाही उलट त्‍याने पंडीताला गर्वाने विचारले,’’बोला पंडीत महाराज, तुम्‍हाला काय मदत पाहिजे. काय मागायचे असेल ते मागून घ्‍या, दान पाहिजे असेल तर दान घ्‍या किंवा धन पाहिजे, सोनेनाणे, जमीन, धान्‍य जे काही मागायचे ते तुम्‍ही माझ्याकडून मागून घ्‍या’’ पंडीतजीने राजाकडे एकवार पाहिले व तो मोठमोठ्याने हसू लागला. 

राजाला व दरबारातील लोकांना पंडीताच्‍या हसण्‍याचे कारण काही कळेना, हसण्‍याचा भर ओसरल्‍यावर पंडीत म्‍हणाला,’’राजन, तुम्‍ही मला काय दान देणार कारण तुमच्‍याकडे मला देण्‍यासारखे काहीच नाही.’’ पंडीताचे हे बोलणे ऐकताच राजा संतापून लालबुंद झाला, राजाचे सैनिक पंडीताला मारायला धावून आले पण सेनापतीने सैनिकांना आवरले व पंडीताला पुढे काही बोलण्‍याची इच्‍छा आहे काय असे विचारले. त्‍यावर पंडीतजी म्‍हणाले,’’ महाराज, जरा थंड डोक्‍याने विचार करा, तुमचा जन्‍मच मुळी तुमच्‍या इच्‍छेने झाला नाही, मग रूप, सौंदर्य आणि पराक्रम हे गुण तुम्‍हाला कोठून मिळाले असते. आईवडीलांनी तुम्‍हाला जन्‍म दिला म्‍हणून तुम्‍ही जन्‍माला आलात. 

तुमचे धान्‍यभांडार हे धरतीमातेचे देणे आहे. तिने पिकवून तिच्‍या लेकरांसाठी अन्‍न पुरविले म्‍हणून तुम्‍ही ते सांभाळत आहात आणि खजिन्‍याचे म्‍हणाल तर धन हे करातून आलेले म्‍हणजेच प्रजेचे देणे आहे, राज्‍य हे तुम्‍हाला वाडवडीलांकडून मिळालेले वरदान आहे राहता राहिले शरीरातील प्राण पण तेही तुमचे नाहीत ते सुद्धा ईश्‍वराची कृपा आहे हे सगळेच जर तुम्‍हाला दुस-याने दिलेले असेल तर तुम्‍ही मला काय म्‍हणून देणार आणि दिलेल्‍या गोष्‍टीचा काय म्‍हणून गर्व बाळगणार.’’ एवढे बोलून पंडीताने राजदरबार सोडला व राजाने त्‍यादिवसापासून गर्व पण सोडून दिला, 

तात्‍पर्यः- जे आपले नाही त्‍यावर गर्व बाळगणे व्‍यर्थपणाचे आहे.  

20. पक्षी आणि पारधी - Pakshi Ani Pardhi

ते पाहून बरेच पक्षी जमा झाले तेव्हा त्या सर्वांना त्याने सावध केले. तो सांगू लागला, 'यात मी फसून सापडलो, तो पारधी गोड गोड बोलून तुम्हालाही भुलविण्याचा प्रयत्‍न करेल. त्यावर तुम्ही विश्‍वास ठेऊ नका.' हे ऐकून सगळे पक्षी निघून गेले. काही वेळाने पारधी येताच तो पक्षी त्याला म्हणाला, 'अरे लबाडा, तू मला फसवलेस, पण तुझ्या या सुंदर शहरात आता एकही पक्षी राहायला येणार नाही, याबद्दल खात्री असू दे !' 

तात्पर्य - लबाड लोकांची लबाडी जोवर लक्षात येत नाही तोवर ते दुसर्‍याला फसवू शकतात पण लबाडी उघडकीला आली की लोक त्याच्या वार्‍यालाही उभे रहात नाहीत.
