The e-Cell of IIT Bombay proudly launched Asia’s largest Business Model Competition, Eureka! This platform provides the perfect opportunity for its participants to fast-track their entrepreneurial journey and turn their ideas into viable business models. In its 25th edition, Eureka! ensures that the participants get quality mentoring, networking with prominent investors, and many funding opportunities.
Eureka! Consists of three rounds – Zonal Round, Business Model Round, and Pitch Round. And the result will be announced on February 5, 2023.

Entrepreneurship cell of iit bombay has launched 25th edition of eureka, its flagship and asia’s largest business-model competition with 15000+ entries, a cash prize of rs 65 lakh+ and incentives worth rs 50 lakh+.

We stand as pillars of support for budding entrepreneurs, providing them with personalized guidance from experienced mentors, crucial funding opportunities, and a robust network that can change the course of their journey forever!
About the Competition
The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay is organizing Eureka! Junior and NEC Junior to Instill the spirit of entrepreneurship in students. Eureka! Junior is a Business Plan Competition for students in classes 6th to 12th , promoting entrepreneurship at a young age. The vision of the program is to inculcate an entrepreneurial spirit among the school students. It encourages students’ inquisitive minds to bring up innovative ideas and provides them with a platform to present their ideas. In this program, students will be provided with skill development activities, workshops, bootcamp, and mentoring from business experts for developing their innovative ideas.
Eligibility
Students of classes 6-12 are eligible to participate.
01st September 2024 – 2 February 2025
Online and Offline (Only the bootcamp and finals will be offline)
Competition Guidelines
- There is no participation fee for the aforesaid competition
- Students have to Register at this link.
- Login using the credentials received in the mail after registering for the competition and attempt the mandatory quiz.
- If a student already has a team, all the members have to register individually. They will be given a chance to form a team in later part of competition.

By establishing E-cells within schools, NEC Junior aims to create a one-stop solution for nurturing students’ ideas. The schools have to register themselves at the official website of NEC Junior.

IIT-Bombay’s biz plan competition now open to school students
Eureka!, the flagship start-up competition of the student-run Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of the Indian Institute of Technology- Bombay (IIT-B), has for the first time started a competition for school students. Eureka! Junior is a business plan competition for school students of Class 6 to Class 12 from across India. The competition was launched on August 1.
Aspiring young entrepreneurs can register for the contest and pitch their ideas through a National Entrepreneurship Olympiad.
Selected students will be honed by the E-Cell through rigorous workshops over the next five months and guided through the process of creating a business plan for their ideas. The workshops are free and the winners of the competition will get prizes worth ₹ 1 lakh. Students will also be introduced to other young entrepreneurs fostered by the E-Cell as well as investors.
“The competition aims to bring out creative ideas from students to solve ordinary day-to-day problems. We are encouraging innovation and out-of-the-box thinking through a series of workshops and a five-month-long competition,” said Yash Pundlik, events head, E-Cell.
“Presently, we are already associated with more than 100 schools across India and over 15,000 students through our various initiatives for promoting innovation. With this competition, we aim to expand our reach further,” he said.
Eureka! is one of Asia’s largest business model competitions for entrepreneurs. Winners of the competition, which is open to all age groups, get a chance to take their ideas to investors and kick off their start-ups with prizes worth ₹ 50 lakh. Currently in its 20th year, Eureka! has helped launch more than 40 successful start-ups. E-Cell also hosts a range of initiatives connecting students with the start-up community across the world.

Business Planning Competition for School Students by CBSE with IIT Bombay
The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay is organizing Eureka! A business plan competition for class 6th to 12th students to promote entrepreneurship at junior, early age. It encourages the curious minds of the students to bring innovative ideas and provides them a platform to present their start-up ideas.
Students will be provided with workshops and mentor-ship from business experts to develop their start-up ideas. A national level Olympiad is also being organized to test and impart knowledge about the field of entrepreneurship.
How Does It Work : Eureka! Junior consists of 6 major stages spread over a width of about 7 months. Class 6-12 students can participate in this Competition. They have made 3 tracks for class 6 -8, class 9-10 and class 11-12 students.
Eureka! Junior is a business plan competition that encourages school students from class 6 to Class 12 to bring forth their creative ideas and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Provides a platform for junior students to present their business idea and develop it under the guidance of experienced mentors. this is a unique opportunity To solve the problems of daily life in an innovative way and turn it into a business.
About E-cell IIT Bombay The full form of e-cell is Entrepreneurship Cell of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Entrepreneurship Cell is wholly student-run non-profit organization. In 23 years, they have grown to become Asia’s largest student-run entrepreneurship promotion organization. Their main objective is to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship across the country and help the enthusiasts to develop their ideas. They run several competitions and initiatives that cater to every category of the entrepreneurship community.

- Step V: After registering for the contest, login using the credentials received in the mail and fill up the questionnaire describing their start-up idea.

Eureka 2020 – the entrepreneurship cell, iit bombay.
With the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative of the government of India, entrepreneurship is the buzzword that has caught the fancy of the nation. In a bid to promote entrepreneurship and unlock India’s inventive potential, the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay, which has established 200+ E-Cells in different colleges across the country, has now come up with the 22nd edition of its annual business plan competition Eureka! that looks to combine technology, vision and business acumen.
Eureka! is Asia’s largest Business Model competition held by the Entrepreneurship cell of IIT Bombay and presented by Deutsche Bank. The competition, which was incepted 22 years ago, has grown from 50 teams competing for INR 50,000 to a competition which now sees over 11,500 entries competing for prizes worth INR 5 million at stake with excellent networking opportunities in India and Silicon Valley.
In this uncertain year, Eureka! Is a breath of fresh air and certainty. With problems being faced by almost every sector, this business model competition not only aims at providing solutions to the problems but at the same time has huge prize money up for grabs. This year the competition is divided into 5 major tracks:
- Eureka! Business Track : The Flagship track of Eureka!, the business track aims to help ideas develop into businesses that have the potential to revolutionize the world.
- Eureka! Social Track : Eureka! Social encourages ideas and B-models which cater to people closer to the bottom of the pyramid and/or for a greener tomorrow.

IIT Bombay collaborates with Practically for nationwide business plan competition Eureka! Junior
EdTech platform Practically is all set to collaborate with student-run Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) as the title sponsor of the fifth edition of Eureka! Junior. Eureka! Junior is a one-of-its-kind business plan competition organised to promote entrepreneurship amongst school students of classes 6 to 12 across India. Launched on August 22, the fifth edition of Eureka! Junior will host National Entrepreneurship Olympiad on Practically’s test platform on October 31. Participants will have to register on the Eureka! Junior micro site and download the Practically app. They can use the same credentials to register themselves on the app to participate in the Olympiad. Participants can keep attempting the Practice test on the app in preparation for the final test. The final Olympiad test will be divided into three tracks — Classes 6 to 8, Classes 9, 10 and Classes 11, 12. The top 2 winners across the three tracks will be rewarded with Practically scholarships worth up to Rs 1.5 lakh. They will also get an overall cash prize of Rs 15,000 from E-Cell, IIT Bombay. Additionally, 24 top scorers across tracks will win 50% discount vouchers on Practically subscriptions. All participants will also get certificates from E-Cell, IIT Bombay. The last date to register for the Olympiad is October 25. While announcing the partnership, Charu Noheria, Co-Founder and COO of Practically, said, “We want to create a generation of successful entrepreneurs from across the country and believe that Practically’s high-quality content and IIT Bombay’s prestigious legacy will help students achieve that.”
