Google Workspace for Education is a set of Google tools and services that are tailored for schools and homeschools to collaborate, streamline instruction, and keep learning safe. Google Workspace for Education offers multiple options to meet your organization’s needs:

• Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals —Gives you tools to aid teaching and learning, such as Classroom, Google Meet, Google Docs, Google Forms, and Google Chat.
• Google Workspace for Education Standard —Same tools as Education Fundamentals but with advanced security features and enhanced administration controls.
• Teaching and Learning Upgrade —Adds enhanced video-communication capabilities, Classroom add-ons, and other features and tools to your Education Fundamentals or Education Standard edition.
• Google Workspace for Education Plus —Includes all the features in Education Standard and Teaching and Learning Upgrade with additional features for certain services, such as attendance tracking in Google Meet.
• Endpoint Education Upgrade —Adds advanced device management features to your Education Fundamentals edition.

Education Fundamentals is free to all qualifying institutions. Education Standard, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Education Plus, and Endpoint Education Upgrade are all paid subscriptions.

What editions does google workspace for education offer.

Google Workspace for Education offers Education Fundamentals to all qualifying institutions at no cost. For those that want more premium features, Google also offers paid editions including Education Standard, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus.

How much does each edition within Google Workspace for Education cost?

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals is available for no charge for all qualifying institutions. Education Standard, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus are paid editions. Please contact Sales to learn more.

Are there differences in storage across editions?

All editions provide schools with 100TB of storage shared across the institution. Additional storage is provided with the Teaching and Learning Upgrade and Education Plus editions based on the number of licenses purchased. Please review our comparison chart for more details or visit our Help Center .

Can I have more than one edition at the same time?

You must have an Education Fundamentals edition to upgrade to any of the other editions (Education Standard, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, or Education Plus).

You cannot have Education Plus in combination with Education Standard or the Teaching and Learning Update — only Education Fundamentals.

You can have a combination of Education Standard and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade at the same time. Although we believe the maximum value of those combined editions can be realized in Education Plus, we wanted to be as flexible as possible to school community needs.

Are discounts available and/or are there incentives for longer term commitments?

Yes, Google offers automatic discounts for customers that contractually commit to a multi-year purchase (two years or more) of Google Workspace for Education Plus. To learn more, please connect with your Google Workspace for Education partner reseller and/or Google for Education representative.

When upgrading to a paid edition of Google Workspace for Education (Plus, Teaching & Learning Upgrade, and/or Standard), will I need to sign a new Workspace for Education Terms of Service agreement?

No, there is no need for a new Workspace for Education contract nor an addendum.

Can I upgrade/downgrade between the editions?

Customers who purchase the Teaching and Learning Upgrade can add Education Standard or Education Plus at any time. The same works vice versa - if you have Education Standard or Education Plus you can purchase Teaching and Learning Upgrade licenses at any time.

Customers can reevaluate continuing with their subscription or downgrade at the end of their subscription term.

What is the duration of a paid Google Workspace for Education subscription?

All paid Google Workspace for Education editions are available as annual subscriptions, and pricing is locked for the duration of the subscription term. However, institutions can also purchase the Teaching and Learning Upgrade on a monthly subscription, as an alternative to purchasing it as an annual subscription.

Will schools that previously purchased G Suite Enterprise for Education automatically get access to all new features that come with Google Workspace for Education Plus?

Yes, all customers who have purchased G Suite Enterprise for Education will receive new features and functionality that are released to the new Google Workspace for Education editions.

Is it possible to trial the paid Google Workspace for Education editions?

Yes, our authorized Google Workspace for Education partners can provision 60 day trials for Education Plus, Education Standard, and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade. 50 licenses are provided for the trial.

Educators can now create new classes in Google Classroom using SIS data and import grading periods from the SIS

What’s changing , getting started.

• Admins: This feature is available for domains connected to a SIS partner–Aspen, Infinite Campus, Skyward SMS, Skyward Qmlativ and PowerSchool. To enable the feature, go to http://classroom.google.com/admin . Visit the Help Center to learn more about connecting your Classroom to your SIS . 
• End users: 
• If a SIS is connected by your admin:
• Teachers can import grading periods by going to classroom.google.com > select the class > Settings > next to “Grading Periods,” click “Import from SIS.”
• Teachers can import “full class” information by going to classroom.google.com > click “Create or join a class” > select “Create class” > in the pop-up window, click the down arrow and select your SIS class > check the items you want to import to the new class (e.g. students, co-teachers, grading periods, grade categories).
• Visit the Help Center to learn more about using Classroom with your SIS and importing data from your SIS .

Training and Experience 1. Minimum of three (3) years elementary/middle school mathematics classroom teaching experience. 2. Master’s Degree or Higher, and/or National Board Certification preferred. 3. Knowledge of and experience in implementing an array of best practices related to mathematics instruction. 4. Knowledge of the Common Core and California State Content Standards. 5. Ability to design and/or use a variety of assessment tools and techniques to guide instruction. 6. Interest in working in a school community with a high degree of parent/family participation. 7. Commitment and ability to attend committee meetings, lead school-wide initiatives, utilize parents as volunteers in the classroom.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Indoor classroom; subject to frequent interruptions;
• Computer lab exposure;
• Daily routine ability to exchange information via hearing and speaking;
• Skills, knowledge, mental ability, and manual dexterity to carry out the posted duties and responsibilities of the job, interpret and implement school policies, rules and regulations, and make determinations relative to the effective performance of the essential responsibilities of the position;
• Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for lengthy periods of time to monitor student progress;
• Ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels;
• Ability to speak in audible tones so that others, including young children, may understand clearly;
• Ability to comprehend visual and auditory input given by others;
• Short term and long term memory ability is required in all tasks;
• Situations may require lifting of up to 25 lbs. (light objects as part of classroom environment)  
• Seeing to perform assigned duties with or without vision aids; sitting or standing for extended periods of time;
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office machinery as needed during class time as necessary to perform the duties of the position;
• Ability to bend, reach walk, knee, bend at the waist, and reach overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally;
• Reasonable and predictable attendance;
• May be required to attend meetings or school events outside regular school hours.  

Licenses and other requirements

CA DOJ and FBI fingerprint (Livescan) clearance prior to the first day of school. Medical professional’s verification of TB clearance within the past four years, prior to the first day of school. A valid California single subject mathematics credential and/or a mathematics authorization (to teach mathematics to middle school students) to is required for this position.

If required to operate a vehicle

• Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
• Acceptable driving record and qualification for insurability by the District’s insurance carrier.

*Simply attach any of the MKR family boards to provide the connectivity type of choice (WiFi, BT, GSM, LoRa, NB-IoT) and seamlessly integrate with the Arduino IoT Cloud.
